PCOS is NOT being renamed to PMOS.

Recently, there has been discussion about changing the name Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) because the current name doesn't fully describe the condition. One suggested name is PMOS (Metabolic Reproductive Syndrome), but the name has not officially changed yet.

The important thing is awareness, early diagnosis, and proper treatment—not just the name.

🤔 Abortion vs MTP – Are they the same?
Many people use the words abortion and Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) interchangeably, but they are not exactly the same.
✅ Abortion refers to the termination or loss of a pregnancy. It can be: • Spontaneous (miscarriage) • Induced (intentional)
✅ MTP (Medical Termination of Pregnancy) is a legal, medically supervised induced abortion performed by a qualified medical practitioner under the law.
✨ Easy way to remember: ✔️ Every MTP is an induced abortion. ❌ But not every abortion is an MTP.

Have you noticed blood clots during your period? 🩸
Small blood clots during the first 1–2 heavy-flow days are often a normal part of menstruation.
However, large clots, very heavy bleeding, severe pain, dizziness, or periods lasting more than 7 days may indicate an underlying condition such as fibroids, adenomyosis, hormonal imbalance, or a bleeding disorder.

Your menstrual cycle is an important indicator of your overall health. If something doesn't feel right, don't ignore it—consult a gynecologist for proper evaluation.

❤️ Early diagnosis can make a big difference.

✅ You miss 3 or more periods.
✅ Your pregnancy test is negative but your period hasn't come.
✅ You have severe pain, heavy bleeding, or unusual discharge.
✅ Your cycles are always irregular.

🤰 Planning a pregnancy? Don't wait for a positive pregnancy test to start folic acid!

Folic acid is one of the most important vitamins to take before conception because your baby's brain and spinal cord begin developing very early—often before you even know you're pregnant.

✨ Benefits of taking folic acid before pregnancy:
✅ Helps prevent neural tube defects (brain and spine defects)
✅ Supports healthy fetal growth and development
✅ Helps make healthy red blood cells
✅ Reduces the risk of certain birth defects

💊 Most women planning pregnancy should take 400 mcg (0.4 mg) of folic acid daily, ideally starting at least 1 month before conception and continuing through the first trimester. Some women may need a higher dose based on their medical history, so always consult your gynecologist.

🌸 A small daily habit can make a big difference for your baby's future.

Many ovarian cysts are common and harmless. In fact, most disappear on their own without treatment. 🌸
However, some cysts need medical attention.
Don't ignore these warning signs:
⚠️ Severe or sudden lower abdominal pain
⚠️ Persistent bloating or abdominal swelling
⚠️ Pain during in*******se
⚠️ Irregular or heavy menstrual bleeding
⚠️ Feeling full quickly or loss of appetite
⚠️ Fever, vomiting, or dizziness with severe pain (medical emergency)

Most ovarian cysts are found during an ultrasound and can simply be monitored. But if your symptoms are severe or persistent, consult a gynecologist promptly.

✨ Early evaluation helps prevent complications like ovarian torsion or cyst rupture.

💗 Remember: Not every ovarian cyst is dangerous—but knowing when to seek help can make all the difference.
