In North Bengal we are strategically located in the foothills of Himalayas very close to Nepal and Bhutan on the gateway to North East India and Sikkim. We are in Khan

doshi village of Khed Taluka in Maharastra (Sister Concrn). We have our own organic lands and are doing cultivation of Karela, Tulsi, Vetiver, Palmarosa, Citronella, Patchouli, Lemon grass. A distillation unit for essential oils is ready and we are planning to set up a Herbal extract plant (solvent). Crops in Bihar & North Bengal: Stevia, Coleus, Tulsi, Aswagandha, Gurmar, Kaunch, Karela (desi), Artemisia annua. We are willing to grow anything which suits these agro climatic zones and are looking for huge opportunities for our farmers. We take confirmed orders from companies and then cultivate the crops. Agro-technology for each crop is explained to our agronomists and farmers by the buyer company. We only use VRIKSHA AYURVEDA fertilizers as this leads to ZERO budget farming and maximum profits for the farmers. We regularly organize meetings among our farmers where the buyer company meets and interacts with them. Looking ahead for your support towards our initiative.

With immense pride we can declare that we are going to be the biggest cultivator of an essential medicinal plant Andrographis paniculata (Kalmegh). Kalmegh is required as an ingredient of important medicinal component/APIs which is required by various pharmaceutical companies. This year in 2013 we have cultivated 151.43 acres of land in Siwan,Gopalganj and Bhagalpur districts of Bihar. The seeds have germinated very well and we are expecting a huge output during the harvest. This will yield huge profit for the farmers in return. The marginal farmers in the naxal hit areas of Bihar will be largely profited and their condition will be emancipated. The profit per farmer will be up to the extent of Rs.40,000 to 50,000 within the cultivation season (4 months period). We are the largest cultivator of medicinal plants in Eastern India. Our farmers are too happy and content that they want to grow more variety of medicinal plants along with cultivation of food crops. This time almost 100 farmers had joined us and everyday more and more farmers are approaching us for the same.

Livelihood Generation and Socio-Economic Development- Key solution in curbing down naxalism in India.
Naxalism is the biggest threat to national security and India's future as its effects are multi-layered.Naxalites are fuelled by discontent from the marginalized and the poverty.

Key to the problem lies in providing source of income through livelihood generation to these marginalized tribes.

Dipti Srivastwa Centre For Rural Development (DSCRD) has set another example of the above statement.

DSCRD distributed special breeding rabbits to the tribal ladies of the villages of Chakai,Jamui District, Bihar. This is one of the initiatives of the DSCRD trust to provide livelihood to the tribal people through rabbit farming.Rabbit farming has huge potential in terms of the financial gain from foreign as well as domestic markets.DSCRD gave training to the tribal ladies in rearing the rabbits and also distributed a batch of 100 rabbits to the villagers of Chakai so that farm could be set up.
Our other venture with the same goal is CHARCOAL ROLLING training for insence stick manufacturing in Chakai,Siwan and Bhagalpur etc.
DSCRD is thankful to the SHGs,rural bank, state government and many volunteers in augmenting our effort to curb down naxalism in Bihar.
