Day 10: activity challenge 10
Observe Observe and Observe
Parents must observe and give your child opportunities to take the first turn in any activity. Through observation we understand a whole lot of their interest and strengths.

Observe to see what the child’s actions are, facial expressions are and his or her whole body language. Eventually the parent will be able to understand his/her interest and build a great bond during communication.

Our children are little treasures!
We stand beside them as a strong scaffold as they build their future.
At any point of time, if we’ve made them feel inferior or too low than their self esteem, we need to forgive ourselves because our children are little treasures.

Let’s watch our little ones grow and explore this wonderful world and be there for them always.

When you find that your child has a speech delay check if these skills are in place.

Joint attention: Joint attention is the ability to share a common focus on something with someone else (this includes people, objects, concepts, events, etc). It is a social form of communication that develops in infancy and progresses throughout early childhood. This social communication or behaviour allows two people to share focus on an object for the sole purpose of sharing with each other. Joint attention involves the ability to gain, maintain, and shift attention. It is considered to be a critical component for social development, language acquisition, and cognitive development.

Sitting behaviour: Sitting tolerance is simply the tolerance of a child to stay seated for a length of time. Some may sit for just 2 minutes while others have greater attention and can stay with an activity for 30 minutes.

Imitation skills: Imitation is a crucial aspect of skill development, because it allows us to learn new things quickly and efficiently by watching those around us. Most children learn everything from gross motor movements, to speech, to interactive play skills by watching parents, caregivers, siblings, and peers perform these behaviors.

Every Emotion has a reason!
Children may not use verbal mode of communication always. It’s important to understand them completely before we respond to a situation that are actively participating.

Today, I made an effort to understand my toddlers emotion and as she responded to me through her favourite rhyme, I could connect back to her better.
