Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) is a Bachelor’s Degree Course offered in India. It is a full-time 4+ years + 1-year internship course on the Unani medicine, the holistic and ancient branch of medicine that focuses on preventive and curative health care. The Unani medical involves nutrition and lifestyle, herbal therapy, surgery and yoga. A BUMS degree course will teach you how to diagnose and cure people of various diseases. It will equip you with the knowledge of herbs, nutrition and diet, and of surgery. You will learn the study of body, mind and soul and how to use it for the benefit of humankind. A BUMS supplement modern medical education.

जन जन यूनानी कार्यक्रम के प्रथम चरण के समापन समारोह के अवसर पर, एसोसिएशन ऑफ यूनानी फिजिशियन के अध्यक्ष डॉ मोहम्मद खुर्शीद आलम अपने संबोधन में कार्य क्रम का उल्लेख करते हुए बताया की यह कार्यक्रम गैर संचारी रोगों से बचाव और रोक थाम के उद्देश्य से चलाया जा रहा है। वर्तमान में गैर संचारी रोग विकराल रूप धारण कर लिया है जिसे भविष्य में और अधिक भयावह होने की आशंका है। इस रोगों के जोखिम कारक त्रुटिपुर्ण जीवन शैली और आधुनिक तकनीक के दुरुपयोग है।
अपने संबोधन में डा. खुर्शीद ने कहा की स्वास्थ्य जीवन हेतू अब प्रकृति की ओर लौट चलें। यथासंभव स्थनीय उपजने वाली खाद्य पदार्थों का सेवन करें, processed foods के सेवन से बचें। बोतल बंद कोई भी पेय-पदार्थ स्वास्थय बर्धक नही है।
डा. खुर्शीद ने जन जन यूनानी कार्यक्रम के प्रथम चरण की सफलता के लिए AUP Bihar के सदस्यों कि प्रशंसा करते हुए उनका आभार व्यक्त किया।
ये क्रायक्रम 26 फरवरी को पटाना के ज्ञान भवन में आयोजित किया गया था ।
