Nobody taught us how to sit with difficult emotions.

So we carry it. Quietly. For years 🥹

Telling ourselves it's just who we are.

‌But here's what I've seen; in my own healing and in the women I've worked with: This is often conditioning from childhood, to put things under the carpet.

And over time, your mind learns to avoid instead of process 🙃

So, you have to train your mind, just like your body.

‌Try this:

✅ 4 slow breaths, in through the nose, out through the mouth.

With each exhale, silently say: "I am safe. I am here."

Small, consistent moments like this are all you need.

‌That's why I built the Meditation Club: your mental health gym. Guided practice, real tools, and like-minded people doing this work together.

There used to be a small pause in the day 🤔

Even those few minutes in the washroom 🚽

‌Your body relaxed.

Your mind wandered.

You stepped out clearer.

‌Now, your body sits. But your mind scrolls.

‌Emails. Reels. Messages. News.

Your brain stays stimulated instead of settling.

‌Here’s what we don’t realize: Digestion and mental peace are connected.

Your body needs relaxation for healthy gut movement.

‌But when your mind is consumed, your nervous system stays alert.

So instead of releasing, your body keeps holding.

‌This is why you:

✅ Sit longer than needed
✅ Doom scroll
✅ Not feel refreshed
✅ Step out, mentally cluttered

‌Try this tomorrow: Keep your phone next to you, but don’t use it.

Let your mind be quiet for five minutes.
