Honoring the Past. Inspiring the Future.
Happy International Clinical Trials Day 2026! 🌐
Today marks the anniversary of James Lind’s pioneering scurvy trial aboard the H.M.S. Salisbury in 1747. That single, targeted experiment laid the groundwork for the structured clinical trials that protect and heal billions of people today.
From the introduction of placebos in 1863 and the first randomized controlled trial in 1948, to the incredible cloud-driven, digital trials of the 2020s—our industry has evolved profoundly.
But through all the technological leaps, one vital truth has never changed: Science cannot move forward without people.
Medical research relies entirely on the selflessness of volunteers from all walks of life, of all ages, who step up to give hope to future generations. They are the unsung heroes of modern medicine.
Today, the Clinical Research Positive community stands in gratitude:
👏 To the Volunteers who trust science and gift us a healthier tomorrow.
👏 To the Researchers, Project Managers, and Site Staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain the highest standards of safety and ethics.
Let's continue raising awareness, breaking down misconceptions, and making clinical research accessible to all.
