Your period is more than just a monthly inconvenience. 🩸

Sometimes, it can give you clues about what’s happening inside your body. 👀

🚩Heavy bleeding? Your iron stores may be taking a hit.
🚩Constant fatigue around your period? Ferritin could be worth checking.
🚩Severe cramps? Don’t just accept them as “normal.”
🚩Spotting, clots or suddenly changing cycles? They deserve attention too. ❤️

Especially in your 40s, your cycle can change — but you don’t have to simply “put up with it.

Listen to your body. Investigate the clues. And get the right support. 🌿✨

✨ Share with the women who needs to know this.

Heavy periods after 40? 🩸 Please don't automatically blame it on perimenopause.

Yes, hormonal fluctuations during perimenopause can make your periods heavier, longer, more frequent—or completely unpredictable.

But heavy bleeding can have other causes too, including fibroids, polyps, adenomyosis, thyroid problems or changes in the uterine lining.

And if you're losing a lot of blood month after month, it can eventually contribute to iron deficiency and anemia, leaving you feeling exhausted, weak, dizzy or breathless. 😓

So what should you do? 👇
🩸 Track your bleeding — duration, frequency, clots and how often you need to change your pad/tampon.
🔎 Don't normalize very heavy or prolonged bleeding just because you're in your 40s.
🩺 Get evaluated if the pattern is unusual or persistent. Finding the cause is more important than simply trying to manage the symptom.
🥗 Pay attention to nutrition and iron intake, especially if you're experiencing frequent heavy bleeding.
🚫 Don't self-treat with supplements without understanding whether you actually have a deficiency and why you're bleeding heavily.

Perimenopause can explain many changes.
It should never become a reason to ignore them.

Save this and share it with a woman who needs to hear this. 📌

“It’s just a UTI.”
Until it isn't. 🚨

If you're in your 40s and suddenly dealing with recurrent UTIs, burning, urgency or urinary discomfort, don't automatically assume it's something you simply have to live with because of perimenopause.

As estrogen declines, the vaginal and urinary environment can change. Protective lactobacilli may decrease and vaginal pH can rise, making it easier for harmful bacteria to thrive. This can increase the risk of recurrent UTIs.

American Urological Association +1
And here's the part I really want women to know:
A urinary infection can sometimes progress from the bladder to the kidneys and, in severe cases, contribute to sepsis.
Sepsis is a life-threatening medical emergency. Warning signs can include fever or chills, confusion, rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, clammy skin or feeling extremely unwell.

So don't ignore persistent or worsening symptoms.
What can help reduce your risk? 🌸
✔️ Stay adequately hydrated
✔️ Don't routinely hold your urine
✔️ Urinate after s*x
✔️ Avoid douching and irritating/fragranced intimate products
✔️ Get recurrent UTIs properly evaluated rather than repeatedly self-treating
✔️ If you're peri/postmenopausal and experiencing recurrent UTIs, ask your doctor whether local vaginal estrogen is appropriate for you. Current guidelines recommend it for recurrent UTI prevention when there are no contraindications.

American Urological Association
Perimenopause isn't just about periods and hot flashes. Your vaginal and urinary health can change too—and it deserves attention.

Save this for yourself or a woman who needs to hear it.

Brown spotting before or after your period? 🩸
Before you panic—or start taking random supplements—let’s understand what your hormones may be telling you.

During perimenopause, ovulation can become less predictable. And when ovulation happens, the corpus luteum produces progesterone. So supporting your overall hormonal and metabolic health can be more meaningful than simply trying to “boost progesterone.”

Here are 5 foundations to focus on 👇
🥚 Support healthy ovulation with adequate nourishment
🥩 Prioritise protein and a nutrient-dense diet
🥜 Get key micronutrients like zinc, magnesium, vitamin D & B vitamins through food and supplements when needed
🏋️‍♀️ Strength train & move regularly
😴 Protect your sleep & manage chronic stress

And remember—spotting isn't always “just hormones.” If it's persistent, new, heavy, or occurring between periods/after s*x, speak with your gynaecologist to understand the cause.

Your 40s aren't a time to simply accept every new symptom.

They're a time to understand your changing body and support it differently. ❤️

Your future body is quietly keeping score.

You’re busy.

🚨Work. Deadlines. Family. Responsibilities.
There’s always something more important to do.

🥵So strength training gets pushed to “later.”

But your body doesn’t pause while you’re busy.

❌️The muscle you don’t build.
❌️The strength you don’t maintain.
❌️The bone health you don’t support.
❌️The metabolic capacity you don’t protect.

It all adds up.

😭And one day, your future self may have to pay for the years you kept saying:

“I don’t have time.”

You don’t need hours in the gym.
You need to start treating strength as a non-negotiable part of your health after 40.

Because strength training isn't just about looking fit.

It’s about keeping your future body capable, strong and independent.

So ask yourself:

Are you too busy to build your body… or are you borrowing from your future self?

Menopause can make sleep feel like a completely different game. 😩🌙

You’re exhausted, you finally get into bed… and suddenly your brain is wide awake.
Then come the 2 AM wake-ups, racing thoughts, hot flashes, or that feeling of “why am I still awake?” 🫠

But better sleep isn’t always about what you do when you get into bed.

Your brain needs signals that it’s time to slow down. 🧠✨

Try starting your wind-down before bedtime:
📱 Put the phone away
💡 Dim the lights
☕ Avoid late caffeine
🧘‍♀️ Give your mind a chance to slow down

Because during perimenopause and menopause, sleep deserves more than just “try to sleep earlier.” ❤️

Stop expecting your brain to sleep on command. Give it a signal first. 🌙

Once your sleep starts getting better you set up a circadian rhythm of your body which automatically helps to reduce stress, cortisol level and the next day mood swings, anxiety will start reducing on its own.

✅️Try it & let me know how it helped!!
