🚀 A Proud Moment in Surgical Innovation!

The Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, GI Oncology & Liver Transplantation, Narayana Medical College successfully performed Bi-directional Tele-Robotic Surgeries on 25th & 26th of this month, in collaboration with GSL Medical College, Rajahmundry.

🌍 This remarkable achievement connected Nellore and Rajahmundry (nearly 500 km apart) through advanced robotic technology.

🌟 This is the first-of-its-kind bi-directional tele-robotic surgical collaboration between two medical colleges in India.

This milestone demonstrates how surgeons at both centers can operate and mentor each other in real time, highlighting the true potential of tele-surgery and tele-mentoring.

🙏 Special thanks to Chairman P. Narayana Garu and the entire administration for their constant support and vision in making this achievement possible.

Meeting my senior from Kurnool Medical College after many years in Coimbatore was an incredibly emotional and humbling experience. Dr Devendra, now an exceptional orthopaedic surgeon at the prestigious Ganga Hospital and Research Centre, has been far more than just a senior colleague — he has been a guiding light and mentor in my life. From our KMC days to where he stands today, his journey has always inspired me. His guidance, values, and quiet strength have left a lasting imprint on my professional and personal growth. Reconnecting after so many years brought back a flood of memories and filled my heart with gratitude, respect, and pride. Some mentors shape our lives forever, and he is truly one of them.
