10 Years, 10 Stories
We've also always been partial to comics and art, and some of our pieces are such a joy to share.
Shoili Kanungo's "Tsuki" comic strip explores cognitive distortions and imposter syndrome...which many of us can relate to!
This one is just a sneak peek into Tsuki’s Imposter Syndrome… you can check out the full comic on our site.

Check it out and give it some love (link in stories etc)

Do share a post/ comic/ story that has resonated or stayed with you.

Ten Years, Ten Stories

We’re kicking off our anniversary series with a powerful one. This is long-distance runner Payal who shared how she found new meaning in being strong—showing strength and toughness by being true to her emotions, vulnerability, and experience.
Can we learn to redefine strength on our own terms? With compassion?
What does it really mean to be strong or to call someone strong in a crisis?

Watch her amazing video (link in bio/ story)

Ten years ago this month, The Health Collective began with its first original post and with a simple question: where do you go in India for honest, credible, non-judgmental conversation about mental health with an India lens?
Within days, people started writing in to share their own stories, sometimes anonymously, sometimes with pseudonyms and sometimes using their own names, tentatively at first to ask is there space for my story, my voice?
And that changed everything. You changed everything. We became a home (India's first!) for lived experience of mental health and mental illness, for original reporting with an India lens, for expert columns, and comics and art that made the hard things easier to talk about.
500+ stories later, in English, Hindi and Tamil, while we may have slowed down and been a bit irregular in our cadence, one thing *hasn't changed: credible content, in a world drowning in quick takes and so much noise!
Thank you for ten years, tribe. Do share YOUR favourite piece or video and we'll kick off our mini-series featuring some of those stories.
Here's to the next chapter. 🧡

Caregivers deal with burnout, invisibilisation and so much more - often alone, unrecognised and without support. Thank you to Sujata Mathur for sharing some of the lived realities via the three part series on The Health Collective.
Hope that some of you may stop to read, share with those going through something similar and send some kindness and empathy their way. 💜
