बड़ी खबर! PCOS का नाम बदल गया है — अब इसे PMOS कहा जाएगा।

PMOS यानी Polycystic Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome — और यह नाम बदलाव सर्फ शब्दों का खेल नहीं है। यह एक बड़ा scientific shift है जो बताता है कि यह condition सिर्फ ovaries की नहीं — पूरे body की metabolic health की बात है।

इसीलिए diagnosis के लिए सबसे पहले जररी है:

✔️ BMI और waist circumference — क्योंकि weight और fat distribution सब कुछ बताती है
✔️ Blood pressure — metabolic risk का silent indicator
✔️ OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test) — blood sugar का असली test
✔️ Testosterone levels — hormonal imbalance को confirm करने के लिए
✔️ Lipid profile — cholesterol और triglycerides check करना जरूरी है, future heart health के लिए
और ultrasound? वो भी होगा अगर जरूरत होगी , लेकिन वो पहला कदम नहीं है।

Cysts दिखना diagnosis नहीं है। और cysts न दिखना, PMOS को rule out नहीं करता।

Ultrasound पर rush करने से पहले यह tests करवाइए — क्योंकि असली खतरा cysts में नहीं, metabolic complications में है: diabetes, thyroid imbalance, high BP, और heart disease।

Early diagnosis. Right tests. Better future.

Must know facts in early pregnancy…
Pehli trimester sabse confusing hoti hai. Google pe daro, doctor se poochho nahi — aur anxiety mein din nikal jaata hai.

✅ Spotting hona = always miscarriage nahi
✅ Nausea ka suddenly kam hona = zaruri nahi kuch galat ho
✅ Bahut thakaan = baby grow kar raha hai, aap nahi
✅ Symptoms ek din zyada, ek din kam = hormones ka game hai, normal hai
✅ Koi symptoms hi nahi? Woh bhi normal ho sakta hai — har pregnancy alag hoti hai
✅ Heartbeat 6 weeks se pehle scan mein nahi aayi?
— Agar bleeding nahi, dard nahi, fainting nahi — toh rukiye.
Pehla scan 6–7 weeks ke baad hona chahiye. Tabhi heartbeat clearly dikhti hai.
Pehle scan mein na aana automatically problem nahi hoti.
Yeh post save karo — pehli trimester mein baar baar kaam aayegi.
Apni kisi bhi pregnant friend, behen, bhabhi ko tag karo jo abhi pehle teen mahine mein hai 👇

“Condom use kiya tha… toh period miss hone pe test kyun karun?”
Bahut common question hai. 😊
Aur iska honest answer chahiye — toh suniye.
Condoms are 98% effective. Not 100%.
Matlab har 100 mein 2 chances hain — even with correct use.
So agar period miss ho gaya —
Test karna zaroori hai. Bina kisi judgment ke.

🕐 Test kab karein?
✔️ Last sexual contact ke kam se kam 14 din baad
✔️ Ya jis din period miss ho — us din ya uske baad

🧪 Test kaise karein — sahi tarike se:
🌅 Urine Test — subah ka pehla urine use karein
Raat bhar ka concentrated hota hai — results zyada accurate aate hain
⚠️ Lekin dhyan rakhein — urine kit kabhi kabhi galat result de sakti hai
(false negative bhi ho sakta hai — especially bahut jaldi kiya toh)
🩸 Blood Test (Beta hCG) — sabse accurate
Ye pregnancy ke hormones directly measure karta hai
Kisi bhi doubt mein — blood test hi final answer deta hai

🚫 Ultrasound ke liye jaldi mat karein!
Period miss hone ke turant baad ultrasound mein kuch nazar nahi aata

But here’s what I wish every twin mama knew from Day 1 👇

🍳 Eat more — seriously
Twin moms need ~600 extra calories/day & at least 100g of protein daily. Your body is building two humans. Feed it like it is.
💤 Rest — but not bed rest
Unless medically advised, complete bed rest is NOT recommended. Short walks, light stretching, and staying gently active is actually better for you and your babies.
📅 More scans = more safety
Twin pregnancies need monitoring with Doppler ultrasound every 2–4 weeks from mid-pregnancy. This isn’t panic — it’s just smart care as twin pregnancies come with unique sets of possible complications!
🩸 Iron & folic acid — double attention
Anaemia hits harder in twin pregnancies. Don’t skip your supplements, and get your haemoglobin checked regularly.
🚫 Myth: “C-section is always needed for twins”
Not true. Vaginal delivery is possible depending on baby positions and clinical factors. Discuss your options with your doctor — don’t assume.
🚫 Myth: “Twins always come very early”
Many twin pregnancies go to 36–37 weeks safely with good monitoring. Early doesn’t have to mean danger.
