LOWER BACK PAIN - Not always caused due to disc problem, some are due to QL/SI strain 🔥
A 35-year-old woman presented with 2 years of gradual-onset, non-radiating lower back pain, associated with pelvic asymmetry.
Clinical assessment identified Right Upslip Dysfunction with Quadratus Lumborum (QL) strain.
Her individualized physiotherapy-rehabilitation program included:
• Psoas & QL dry needling
• Needle activation with acupuncture pen
• L5–S1 unilateral PA mobilization
• Thoracic AP HVLA manipulation
• Hip mobilization/manipulation
• Spinal stabilization & core training
• Bird-dog and bear-crawl progressions
• Pelvic stability and asymmetry correction
• Resistance-band exercises
After 10 sessions, she reported more than 90% improvement in pain and functional movement.
👉 The key is not simply treating “back pain”—it is identifying the contributing movement, muscular and pelvic factors and designing rehabilitation accordingly.
Assessment → Manual Therapy → Neuromuscular Control → Progressive Strengthening = Functional Recovery
📍 Every patient requires an individualized assessment and treatment plan. Results may vary.
