As a gynecologist, I’d tell you: IVF pregnancy can definitely end in a normal vaginal delivery. IVF by itself is not an indication for a C-section.
If the pregnancy is uncomplicated and:
+ baby is head-down,
+ placenta is in a safe position,
+ baby’s growth and monitoring are reassuring,
+ there is no significant maternal complication, and
+ there is no previous C-section or other reason requiring surgery,
then a trial of normal labour is usually possible.
One important point: IVF pregnancies are monitored a little more closely because some pregnancy complications can be more common, but the fact that conception happened through IVF does not automatically mean you need a C-section.
If you tell me your age, whether it’s a single or twin pregnancy, how many weeks you are, and whether you’ve had any previous C-section, I can explain how favourable a normal delivery would generally be in your situation.
