Blood donation camp on 27th Nov at DAV Girls Mogappair

Every two seconds of everyday, there is someone who needs blood. 1 pint (473 ml) of your blood can save 3 lives!

Considering this constant demand for blood units, DAV - Arya Samaj Foundation in collaboration with the Rotary Central TTK-VHS Blood Bank is organizing a Blood Donation Camp on Sunday | 27th November 2022 between 9:00am & 4:00pm at DAV Girls School, Mogappair.

Donor Eligibility:
🔹18-65 years of age
🔹 Weight > 50kg
🔹 Not donated blood during the last 3 months

If had been COVID (+)ve, with
- Home quarantine: Can donate 14 days after (-)ve RTPCR;
- If undergone ventilation: Can donate after 6 months
- If vaccinated recently: Can donate 14 days after COVID vaccine (1st/2nd dose)

Try to eat a light but fulfilling meal before donating blood.

Vedic Sanskriti School (VSS) is a global movement to help both elders and children understand Vedic Dharma in a meaningful context.

We are happy to announce that DAV, Chennai is starting VSS 4th Batch Level I Online courses (vss.davchennai.org) to help learners lead a happy and contented life in a world that constantly tests one’s spiritual strength. The course is relevant for both children (age 10+) & elders.

VSS (inspired by Arya Samaj) follows a unique online ‘Open Schooling’ concept, wherein learners can study at their own pace, classes for which are conducted online periodically. They can gradually progress from Basic to more Advanced levels. They can also receive certifications by attending examinations that will be held physically at the local centres.

‘VSS Level – I’ comprises of 6 subjects namely Dharma Shiksha, Agnihotra, Spoken Sanskrit, Mantras & Shlokas, Vedic Mathematics & Living Naturally, Sessions are highly interactive and conducted online.

VSS Level I Online Classes Start date: 13th November 2021
Days: Only on Saturdays & Sundays
Timings: Saturday 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm & Sundays 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Arya Samaj Charitable Foundation (an unit of DAV Group of Schools, Chennai) is happy to launch the 5th batch of the Functional MS Excel course - a skill highly desired nowadays in the work environment. A certificate will also be issued upon completion of project / viva. The physical sessions will be held at the computer lab of DAV Boys Gopalapuram campus providing hands-on experience.
