IPF Worlds 2026 Athlete Recap: Zahra Padia
SQ: 240kg, missed 3rd (depth) (would have been 2.5kg PR)
BN: 130kg (2.5kg PR)
DL: 240kg (5kg PR)
Total: 610kg (2kg ATPR) (5th place off bodyweight)
The first six months of the past 12 months Zahra spent time losing some weight to the degree of around 8kg along with some life adjustments. As of the past six months, we were able to regain that weight healthily, and get training back into full swing. Coming into worlds there were a couple of unanswered questions that Zara had, but with this prep, being disciplined, I couldn’t be more proud of how Zahra showed her ability to adhere to the plan set for her and make adjustments exactly as needed in order to set herself up for a successful day such as this one.
With all given factors from the past year, the goal was pretty simple to come in and PR the total and PR all her Lifts, we had agreed that given the rebound that we had to focus on being able to do that would have been a big win for us in itself.
We always have our eyes set on gold, and we understand the magnitude of work that that carries to make that happen. With a series of events taking place on the day, the result represents that when you just do the work and show up good things can happen. Lo and behold, we had an opportunity to steal a top five position in which we were successful in making reality.
Fifth place is not our end goal, but it is a small signal that I want to relay to not only to Zahra but anyone tired and struggling. Zahra had a lot of long nights, life adjustments and tough times, she had days and weeks where her diet was off. Life was stressful and she was tired. But she just kept showing up. She just kept doing the work.
Zahra paid the price through her work and time invested, traveled out to Lithuania, showed up and performed.
This Fifth place ranking in the world in her respective class represents that a lot of good happens when you just keep showing up.
🍔BURGER BOY🍔 thank you for the help on the day, you were great.
Congratulations Zahra. This next year of work is the big one.
