Recently work has become so demanding but there are always simple origamis that don’t consume too much time, yet immensely satisfying!

It’s been a very relaxing experience staying in one of the remote masserias in Italy, with no internet! I’d like to share a little story from yesterday in Ostuni, when I was there for a day trip.
This video was taken while there was a sudden thunder storm, about 20 of us were therefore stuck in this cafe. Shortly after the waitress took our order, an aggressive fight broke out between a customer and some others in this 10sqm tent. There were two families with very young children (3 to 7-year-olds) next to us. The parents were busy shielding the children from the aggression. It was a very stressful situation and I feared the children and the rest of us would inevitably unwillingly get involved. The fight lasted for a good 15 mins at least, and the rain got heavier and heavier. We didn’t understand a thing because the arguments were all in Italian. Not knowing what’s going on definitely added to the stress! One of the little girls started crying and once that started, the rest of the children followed. 😭 One of the families didn’t mind the rain and just wanted to leave ASAP, the one next to us was undecided. I decided to keep the children entertained with some tricks. Here comes the bit about origami. I quickly made a crane out of the napkin and gave it to the crying one next to me. She instantly stopped and looked at me with her big eyes full of hope. I would never forget this sight and I would always remember how she tried to protect the little crane from the rain on her way out. 😊 with this story I hope you are hanging there mid-week through! Went out for a walk during lunch today - it is energising to see neighbours of all ages responsibly enjoying the new normal 😃. I know some countries are still having a very difficult time. We must not grow complacent👌 🤞
I particularly enjoyed the composition in this photograph, where this granny set herself up in the centre of the park, interacting with all the happenings around her. So adorable🙃.
