What do you actually want?

Path of Love is seven days of meeting your deepest desires and letting them lead you. When you are connected to the fullness of who you are, you can build a life from that place.

Broughton Sanctuary sits on three thousand acres where the Yorkshire Dales begin, in the first week of November. This one is led by Rafia Morgan, who created the Path of Love process, alongside Senior Leader Abigail Iquo Isuo and Gita Wagner.

Who am I? What do I truly want in this life?

Awakening of Love is a weekend in Rome with Nirdosh Andreassi, physician, psychotherapist and Path of Love facilitator. Through guided meditations and exercises, we explore what it means to be human, with all its joys and sorrows, and find a way back to what is true and real in ourselves.

It is also the place to begin for anyone curious about the seven-day Path of Love retreat.

A hundred thousand strangers have written to Nick Cave. Rebecca from Wantage was one of them.

She told him she was frozen by grief. Looking inside for something solid, all she found was a multitude of selves. Then she asked how you know who you are.

He said she was being presented with the opportunity to become a human being.

He told her what to do with the selves. Keep the ones still of use. Let the others go.

He said that after his son died he had been a half-formed thing, waiting to be shattered so it could be remade.

We come in with two instinctual needs. Authenticity and attachment. When as a child we feel unsafe, or we feel like we’re not going to be loved, or we’re not going to belong, the first need we give up on is authenticity.

The closer you get to honoring what feels shamed inside yourself, the more the beauty and the expression of who you are can blossom.

Virginia Woolf wrote that two powers preside in each of us. Most of us are more at home with one side of ourselves, and the side we neglect tends to find its way into our closest relationships.

The Great Divide is an afternoon with Rafia Morgan, co-founder of Path of Love, and Abigail Iquo Isuo, senior leader, looking at the masculine and feminine in each of us and how they play out in our relationships and our lives. We will work with breathwork, movement, inquiry and connection.

The event is open to everyone, and you do not need any previous experience. If you have been curious about Path of Love, this is a good way to get a feel for it.

A great deal of the exhaustion in a life goes into defending a shape. The person you settled into, held intact year after year against all the evidence. What’s happening is happening. Drop your shoulders. Move with the current and see where it puts you.

When Michaëla started out, leadership was described as an iron fist in a silk glove. The language has since moved to psychological safety and vulnerability. Her view is that a leader needs the range to move between conviction and openness, reading what each moment asks for.

Underneath that range sits self-knowledge. Knowing your own landscape, your triggers, your blind spots, the stories you carry with you, and your real strengths. She does not believe it is possible to lead in today’s world without it. That is the work Path of Love makes possible.

Michaëla has spent years sending senior executives into deep personal work. People often call that kind of work a luxury. She agrees, and then takes the thought further. If you have been given a life like this and you hold a privileged position, doing the work becomes a responsibility. What she points to in Path of Love is psychological safety. You come into the container and you feel safe, and that is what allows a person to open.

Part 1 of 3. Tyler Talib Fisher in conversation with Michaëla Berglund on inner transformation for leaders.

Michaëla had just stepped into the CEO role and had two small children at home. She describes that period as running, running, running. She had already done the leadership programs that people at her level do. Path of Love brought her back to the reason underneath the work, and she came away far clearer about her purpose and about why she does what she does.

Today the long hours are something she chooses, with meaning at the center of them.
