Aligned with its Twentyby30 program objectives to improve the circular economy, Crown Holdings, Inc. has announced its commitment to work with industry partners to achieve ambitious new global recycling rates goals for aluminum beverage cans. Designed to be completed by 2030, the targets focus on the inherent recyclability of metal to advance Crown's sustainability efforts and commitments to foster a more responsible industry.

Solidarity project in Spilamberto
Our Spilamberto plant, together with other companies from the same area, participated to offer a van for the transport of disabled people in Spilamberto, allowing them to be completely assisted in their movings.
The inauguration of this project took place last week with the mayor of the city and our union representative.

Future Leaders Programme at Braunstone

Andy Smith, Plant Manager, launched Future Leaders – building succession within our teams.
The programme has been designed to accelerate growth and development for our current and future leaders, focusing on leadership skills, behaviours and collaborative working. Supporting leaders to be the best they can be, enabling personal growth and contribution to the future success of our Business. The programme differs from most as a large focus is “developing as a team” as well as focus on personal growth through one-to-one coaching sessions built-in to the programme.

Last week was the first face-to-face training session, of course conducted following COVID safety guidelines.

Les salariés de Crown Outreau sont heureux de contribuer à la collecte annuelle d’été réalisée localement par les Restos du Cœur.
La remise des dons a été faite par deux salariés (membres du Groupe Happy at Work œuvrant sur le bienêtre au travail et citoyenneté), Anne-Sophie Lefebvre, responsable Expédition, et Bruno Descamps, cariste, directement à Mr Renaud Proye, responsable de l’antenne des Restos du Cœur de Boulogne-sur-Mer. Ce dernier nous a remercié pour ces dons dans une période difficile où le nombre de bénéficiaires augmente du fait de la crise sanitaire et les dons diminuent.

The employees of our Outreau plant are happy to contribute to the annual summer fundraising carried out locally by Les Restaurants du Cœur ("restaurants of the heart"). The aim of this association is to help and provide voluntary assistance to needy people, particularly in the food sector through access to free meals, and through participation in their social and economic integration, as well as in any action against poverty in all its forms.

The donations were handed over to Renaud Proye, Manager of the “Restos du Cœur” of Boulogne-sur-Mer, by two of our employees: Anne-Sophie Lefebvre (Shipping Manager), and Bruno Descamps (Forklift Driver), both members of the Happy at Work group working on well-being at work and citizenship.

With over 50 years of service Uwe said Goodbye with a “distanced” farewell to his friends and colleagues at Crown Seesen. Having joined in 1971 as a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, Uwe became an integral part of the team, progressing to Shift Leader, for half a century during his career with the Company.
He will be missed by all at the site. So please join us in wishing Uwe a long happy and healthy retirement.

Mitarbeiter geht mit über 50 Jahren Betriebszugehörigkeit in den wohlverdienten Ruhestand! Herr Uwe Sauer verabschiedete sich mit einem "distanzierten" Farewell von seinen Freunden und Kollegen bei Crown Seesen. Nach seinem Eintritt als Mechaniker-Auszubildender im Jahr 1971 wurde der Kollege ein fester Bestandteil des Werks Seesen und stieg auf seinem 50-jährigen Karriereweg bis zum Schichtleiter auf.
Werksleiter Klaus Lohmann: „Fachlich wie Menschlich wird uns Uwe eine Lücke hinterlassen und gerade seinen langjährigen Mitstreitern zukünftig fehlen“.
„Trotz des hohen Durchschnitts an Betriebszugehörigkeit bei Crown sind 50 Jahre auch für uns was ganz besonderes, so Personalleiter Michael Meier.
Alle Kollegen, Vorgesetzen sowie das Management wünschen Uwe einen wohlverdienten langen, glücklichen und gesunden Ruhestand.

Aj napriek zložitej situácii, ktorú školákom spôsobujú opatrenia covid-19 a zatvorené školy, sme hľadali spôsob, ako im čo najviac spríjemniť návrat do školy. Po dohode so starostom obce Kechnec a riaditeľkou miestnej základnej školy sme sa rozhodli podporiť fyzikálno-chemické laboratórium školskými pomôckami.

Zároveň sme prijali pozvanie navštíviť školu a školské laboratórium hneď, ako to opatrenia dovolia. Rozvinuli sme aj diskusiu o užšej spolupráci so školou, ktorá sa začne návštevou študentov vyšších ročníkov v našom závode. Takto budú môcť spojiť vedomosti z predmetov fyziky a chémie s praktickou ukážkou v našom závode.

Kechnec Supports Local Elementary School
With the difficult situation caused by covid-19 to school children, we were looking for a way to help and make their return to school as pleasant as possible. After an agreement with the mayor of Kechnec and the principal of the local primary school, we decided to support the physics-chemistry laboratory with school items.

Crown Slovakia developed a discussion on closer cooperation with the school, which will commence with a visit by higher-grades students. This way we will be able to combine knowledge from the subjects of physics and chemistry with a practical demonstration in our plant.

People Excellence starts at our primary schools, where our future talents grow. That's why we should think about them now and support their development and interest from an early age.

Z ogromną przyjemnością informujemy, iż w wyniku przeprowadzonego Badania Satysfakcji Pracowników przy współpracy w Experience Institute, firma Crown w Pruszczu została przyjęta do grona Laureatów Programu Inwestor w Kapitał Ludzki. Tym samym uzyskaliśmy prawo do posługiwania się Godłem Inwestor w Kapitał Ludzki.
Program Inwestor w Kapitał Ludzki jest przeznaczony dla wszystkich firm i instytucji oraz oddziałów/filii koncernów działających na terenie Polski, które w sposób odpowiedzialny myślą o rozwoju kompetencji swoich pracowników, a poprzez to całej organizacji. Program Inwestor w Kapitał Ludzki prowadzony jest przez Experience Institute. Celem programu jest stałe podnoszenie poziomu zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi w Polsce, a także promowanie znaczenia inwestycji w kapitał ludzki jako najcenniejszego dobra przedsiębiorstw. Ponadto program ten daje możliwość gromadzenia wiedzy o najlepszych praktykach i inicjatywach z zakresu zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi.
Wynik Badania Satysfakcji Pracowników wykazało iż 72% pracowników jest zadowolonych z pracy w Crown.

We are pleased to announce that Plant Pruszcz took part in the Employee Satisfaction Survey, carried out in cooperation with the independent institution Experience Institute. As result of the survey Crown in Pruszcz became the Laureate of the Investor in Human Capital Program for 2020.
The Investor in Human Capital program is intended for all Poland based operating companies,institutions, branches and subsidiaries, which think responsibly about the competency development of the their employees, and thus the entire organization. The aim of the program is to constantly raise the level of HR management in Poland and to promote the importance of investment in human capital as the most valuable asset of enterprises. In addition, this program provides the opportunity to gather knowledge about best practices and initiatives in human resource management.
The result of the Employee Satisfaction Survey showed that 72% of employees are satisfied with their work at Crown.
