“Rose Colored Glasses”
I’ve realized in adulthood, you truly only see what you want too in people; relationship, friends, loved ones. There were periods of time where I only had rose colored glasses on, and I ended up getting hurt, instead of standing back and looking at what people were saying, when they said rose colored glasses. Finding the truth about people after you’ve already been hurt, hurting yourself loving that person, and changing who you are to mold into their standards.

I’ve been working on piece recently, and most the time I’ve been working on it I’ve been processing emotions. Most my life as an artist I’ve been told “just paint about it”, and I would but most of them got covered up or never saw light of day. Personally I like painting lighter things, happier things. But recently I’ve been heavy, and brain put an imagine in head that I needed on canvas, I’ve spent hours, painting, reconstructing, and critiquing. I’m not usually one to explain my art, but depth that’s in this painting, some might not understand and others will get automatically, and that’s the beauty in art, in emotions, some will understand and admire, others will look for a second and move on. But that’s apart of life.

As some people know, others don’t (promise I didn’t fall of the face of earth), at the very end of last year, I made the decision to leave the city that runs through my blood, Pittsburgh, and moved to New Jersey. I have 2 fur babies now Banjo (brown Egyptian Mua Tabby Mix), and Oscar (Fluffy Grey Tabby). I’ve reunited with some of my favorite people, and I’ve met some new ones, I’ve strengthened and healed my relationship with not only others but myself! I’ve gone through so many canvases and paints, started to touch my machine again, went swimming A LOT. I’ll drop some photos

Hi my lovely People! I miss all my Pittsburgh clients so much 🫶 so many of your story’s stuck with me that I tell now! I know I haven’t posted in awhile, I’ve got the painting bug that has given me some amazing pieces, I’ll post at some point today and a life update! Just know I miss you guys, and I truly appreciate everyone that was there to watch me grow!
