Concept Ritual Backpiece

This is not merely a demon.

Rage.
Obsession.
Fear.
Doubt.

A Kishin born to devour the darkness within,
and force the spirit to break its shell.

The kanji “破” does not stand for destruction.

It means to break:
evil,
attachment,
weakness,
illusion.

The serpent symbolizes rebirth through shedding.

Black carries silence.
Red carries spirit.

This is not decoration.

It is a ritual carved for conviction.

Two commissioned artworks completed and delivered.

Tattooing remains my main craft, but creating traditional Japanese artwork on paper allows the same philosophy to take another form — movement, balance, and spirit.

The koi piece represents legacy — a father, mother, and child swimming upward against the current, symbolizing perseverance and the strength passed through generations.

The Hannya and serpent piece represents guardianship and transformation — the emotions and struggles that ultimately become a force protecting the spirit.

A few months healed on this full sleeve, including multiple wrist cover-ups.
Healed skin reveals depth, balance, and how the tattoo lives with the body.

🐉In Japanese tradition, the koi that endures the current becomes a dragon — a symbol of perseverance and spiritual ascent.
Matt chose a heavier black and gray approach, valuing longevity and quiet strength over color.

As we approach "Risshun" (the beginning of spring in the lunar calendar), a time when the world begins to stir under the winter frost, I have crafted six sacred designs to serve as guardians for the coming year.
These are not merely flashes. They are "Fu" (talismans)—sacred marks designed to draw in good fortune and protect the wearer.
To honor the new season and forge new connections, I am opening a limited number of sessions to bring these soul-bound pieces to life.

Everything in this world, including our lives, is made of 5 energies:

🌳Wood, 🔥Fire, ⛰️Earth,⚔️ Metal, and 🌊Water.

As shown in this picture, these elements support each other in a circle.♻️
When they are balanced, life flows smoothly.
But if one element is missing, the flow stops.

•The Okinawa Warrior / 1 Month Project

Kicking off 2026 with this massive custom backpiece for Jeremiah.
We finished the entire project in just 1 month.

•💭The Concept:

He gave me two themes: "Japanese Warrior" and "Memories of Okinawa".
Based on his request, I fully engineered this composition.

I customized the Warrior with Hibiscus and Bingata (Okinawan traditional dye) patterns.
This is a tribute to his time on this island.

•♻️The "Five Elements" (Gogyo) Logic:

This isn't just art; it’s designed with the "Gogyo" philosophy to create the perfect energy balance for him.

• 🌊 Water vs. ⛰️Earth:

The background is filled with deep Indigo Waves (Water).
If I added a "Dragon" (Water God) here, the Water energy would be too overwhelming.
So, I designed massive Rocks (Earth) to withstand the waves, creating Stability and defense.

• 🔥 Fire (Passion):
To contrast the dark waves, I placed Red Hibiscus to represent "Fire" — the passion to keep moving forward.

• 🟡 Earth (Grounding):
The Kimono features Golden Yellow, symbolizing the Earth to keep him grounded.

🏮 New Chapter for 2026:

Starting this year, I will be focusing on "Five Elements Custom Tattoos".
I analyze the balance of colors and motifs to strengthen your life, just like I did for this piece.
