Technology doesn’t take care of itself.

Not even a bicycle can survive long without someone maintaining it.Behind every smooth simulation session, every ready manikin,
there is a simulation technologist—preparing, troubleshooting, resetting, making it all work.
And that’s the gap we must pay attention to.
We invest in equipment… but who is trained to sustain it?

At the Kenya Simulation Network, we believe the real investment is in people—training more simulation technologists who keep these systems running.
Because when systems are sustained, training improves…and patient care gets better.

Train technologists. Sustain simulation. Save lives.

Yesterday during Research Day at AIC Kijabe Hospital, it was encouraging to see the continued growth of healthcare simulation in research.
More departments are beginning to explore and utilize simulation in training and research, which is a promising step for healthcare education and patient safety.
Exciting to see simulation gaining momentum and becoming an important part of how we learn, teach, and improve care.

Simulation is a Technique, Not Technology!

You don’t need expensive manikins to train healthcare teams. With basic resources, teamwork, and practice, everyone can learn and gain confidence to handle real emergencies.

In our Kenyan labs, educators guide students using both high-tech and low-cost tools proving that learning can happen anywhere!
