FEVER? DON’T GUESS. TEST!

Not every fever is malaria.

🔬 Test first — malaria can look like many other illnesses.
💊 Treat the cause — antimalarials are for malaria, not every fever.
🛡️ Protect our medicines — avoid unnecessary antimalarial use.
🎯 Right diagnosis. Right treatment. Better care.

NEXT TIME YOU HAVE A FEVER:
❌ “Give me malaria medicine.”
✅ “Let’s test first.”

TEST. KNOW. TREAT.

💊 YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH A MEDICINE COULD HELP PROTECT SOMEONE ELSE.

Have you ever taken a medicine and experienced an unexpected reaction — such as a rash, dizziness, vomiting, swelling, severe headache, or another unusual symptom?

👉 DON’T JUST IGNORE IT. REPORT IT.

This is called PHARMACOVIGILANCE — the monitoring of medicines to identify, evaluate and prevent medicine-related problems and help keep patients safe.

🇰🇪 IN KENYA, YOU CAN HELP.

Patients, parents/guardians and healthcare professionals can report suspected medicine-related problems to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).

And here’s something important:

❗ YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE 100% SURE THE MEDICINE CAUSED THE REACTION.

If you suspect that a medicine may have caused a problem, it can still be reported. The PPB assesses the information and uses safety reports to identify potential risks and strengthen medicine safety monitoring.

📝 WHAT CAN BE REPORTED?

• 💊 Suspected medicine side effects
• ⚠️ Suspected treatment failure
• 🔍 Poor-quality or suspected falsified medicines
• 💉 Medication errors
• 💉 Adverse events following vaccination
• 🩺 Problems involving medical devices

📲 HOW CAN YOU REPORT?

You can report through the Pharmacy and Poisons Board’s Pharmacovigilance Electronic Reporting System (PvERS) or contact the National Pharmacovigilance Centre:

📧 [email protected]
📞 0795 743 049

💚 YOUR REPORT MATTERS.

A report may contribute to identifying medicine-related risks and protecting other patients.

At Sabet Pharmacy, we believe that safe medicine use is everyone’s responsibility.

ASK. REPORT. PROTECT. 💊🛡️

💊 PAIN DOESN’T ALWAYS NEED JUST A PILL.

Ever wondered why your doctor may recommend more than one approach when treating pain?

Because pain is more than a sensation. Depending on its cause and how long it has lasted, it can be influenced by muscles, movement, sleep, stress, emotions and daily activities.

That’s why your treatment plan may include:

🏃 Movement & exercise — appropriate physical activity can help improve strength, mobility and function.

👐 Physical therapy — techniques such as rehabilitation, massage or other physical approaches may be useful for certain types of pain.

🧠 Psychological support — approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy can help some people develop better ways of coping with persistent pain.

😴 Better sleep & healthy habits — improving sleep, activity levels and other lifestyle factors can support recovery.

💊 Medicines — when appropriate, medicines may be one part of the overall treatment plan.

👉 The goal isn’t simply to “kill the pain.” It’s to understand WHY you have pain and help you get back to normal activities safely.

Never stop or change prescribed treatment without speaking to your healthcare professional.

💚 Sabet Pharmacy — Wellness for All.
