You meditate. You breathe. You regulate. And it returns. Always.
Not because you're doing it wrong.
Because regulation was never designed to resolve what hasn't been felt. It was designed to help you cope until you're ready to feel it.
Most people spend years not knowing the difference.
Beneath the anxiety is almost always something specific...
- A conversation that keeps getting postponed.
- A boundary still unset.
- Anger that was never given permission.
- Grief still sitting in the body.
- A truth not yet ready to be spoken out loud.
The anxiety is not the problem. It is the most loyal part of you, KNOCKING consistently, on something that needs your attention.
The longer it goes unanswered, the louder it knocks.
The question I bring into every session is not: how do we make this quieter?
It is:
- what is this trying to say?
- What hasn't been heard?
- What has the body been holding while the mind stays busy managing it?
You cannot breathe your way out of a truth you refuse to feel. But you can create the conditions to finally face it.
If the same pattern keeps returning, the problem may not be what you're feeling. It may be what you've been avoiding.
