Today’s Cancer Support Group Meeting was a beautiful reminder that strength grows when we come together.

We are grateful to all the patients, survivors, caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals who shared their stories, encouragement, and hope. Your courage and openness created a warm and uplifting environment filled with compassion, understanding, and inspiration.

Cancer may challenge us, but together we continue to stand stronger, support one another, and remind each other that no one walks this journey alone.

Mombasa Cancer Centre with partner Adonis, are hosting an annual Cancer Support Group Meeting — a safe and supportive space for patients, survivors, caregivers, and families to come together, share experiences, encourage one another, and find strength through community. 💙

Cancer can be a difficult journey, but no one should have to walk it alone. Through open conversations, emotional support, and shared hope, we continue to remind each other that healing is not only physical, but emotional and spiritual too.

Today our staff were privileged to attend an insightful and thought-provoking CME led by Dr. Riaz Kasmani, Oncologist - Mombasa Cancer Centre

🗓 Date: 6th May 2026
⏰ Time: 12:45 PM – 2:00 PM
📍 Venue: KMA Hall, Pandya Memorial Hospital
🎯 Topic: When Cure is No Longer Possible: Mastering Care at End of Life Stage – Clinical, Ethical and Communication Principles.

This session explored the critical aspects of end-of-life care, focusing on compassionate clinical decision-making, ethical considerations, and effective communication with patients, care-givers and families.

It was a must-attend session for healthcare professionals committed to delivering holistic and dignified care to terminal patients.

Mombasa Cancer Centre was proud to participate in the 7th Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care Association Conference held in Mombasa from 25th to 27th February 2026.

Palliative care plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for patients facing serious illnesses such as cancer. It goes beyond treatment, focusing on pain management, emotional support, dignity, and holistic care for both patients and their families.

At Mombasa Cancer Centre, we are committed to integrating palliative care into our services to ensure that every patient receives compassionate, patient-centered support at every stage of their journey. Our approach emphasizes comfort, respect, and enhancing overall well-being alongside medical treatment.

We remain dedicated to advancing cancer care through collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement, as we work towards a future where no patient faces their journey alone.
