Today we celebrate the men who showed up. The dads who fixed bikes, checked homework, killed spiders, gave quiet advice, worked late, made unseen sacrifices, taught us to drive, prayed for us, and loved with their actions.
The real MVPs who taught us how to ride bikes, how to change a tire, how to say sorry, how to try again and again, how to stand up for what’s right, and how to get back up after each fall.
To every dad, biological or chosen, grandfather, uncle, and father-figures— you have blessed us.
To my papa. To the fathers of our children and the men making things happen behind the scenes — tonight, this first applause is yours.
