A miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy before 20 weeks, usually due to natural and unavoidable reasons.

🔹 Types of Miscarriage

Threatened: Bleeding but pregnancy may continue.

Inevitable: Cervix opens, miscarriage cannot be stopped.

Incomplete: Some pregnancy tissue remains in the uterus.

Complete: All pregnancy tissue is expelled.

Missed: Fetus has died but remains in the uterus.

Septic: Miscarriage with infection (medical emergency).

🔹 Common Causes

Chromosomal abnormalities

Hormonal imbalances

Infections

Maternal health conditions (e.g., diabetes, thyroid issues)

Trauma

Sometimes the cause is unknown
