As part of our ongoing commitment to provide our customers with flexible solutions for their current workflows, effective today, the US FDA has issued emergency use authorization for our NxTAG® CoV Extended Panel, which detects the novel SARS-CoV-2 virus.

This panel, designed for use on the MAGPIX® System, offers the flexibility to run tests in any order—use the NxTAG CoV to detect SARS-CoV-2, screen 20 other common respiratory pathogens with the NxTAG Respiratory Pathogen Panel (RPP), or run both tests together for a complete picture of patient’s respiratory health.

It’s been more than 140 years since the discovery of the mitosis process, but until now, scientists were hard-pressed to explain what initiates cell division. The debate may finally be settled, thanks in part to the ImageStream Imaging Flow Cytometer. In a recent publication from Current Biology, researchers from The Francis Crick Institute, Swansea University, the Broad Institute, and Rockefeller University report that cell size seems to be the biggest factor for inducing mitosis.
