Healthcare Beyond Hospital Walls

On 7th August 2026, Ashburn Community Nursing Home successfully conducted a community medical outreach at Ojwando, Pap-Gori, Siaya County, reaffirming our commitment to bringing quality, affordable healthcare closer to the communities we serve.

The outreach was made possible through our valued partnerships with KMET and Globcom. KMET offered Family Planning services and Cervical Cancer Screening, promoting preventive healthcare for women. Globcom, through its Cataract Project, provided quality eye care services, giving hope to individuals living with preventable vision challenges.

As part of our commitment to ensuring every Kenyan benefits from universal health coverage, Ashburn Community Nursing Home assisted community members with SHA registration, account activation, and access to healthcare services through their active SHA cover. Eligible patients were able to receive medical consultations, treatment, and prescribed medication using their SHA benefits, helping to remove financial barriers to quality healthcare.

This successful outreach would not have been possible without the dedication and teamwork of our incredible nurses, clinical officers, laboratory technicians, receptionists, and SHA claims officers, who served the community with professionalism, compassion, and unwavering commitment throughout the day.

We sincerely thank KMET, Globcom, the local leadership, and the residents of Ojwando, Pap-Gori for partnering with us in making this outreach a success. Together, we continue to build healthier communities through collaboration, prevention, and accessible quality healthcare.

After triage assessment, our patients are comfortably seated at the waiting bay as they await consultation with our clinicians. During this time, vital signs have already been recorded, preliminary assessments completed, and each patient properly guided through the next steps of care.

Our waiting area is designed to provide a calm, organized, and respectful environment where patients can feel safe and attended to. Our medical team continuously monitors the flow to ensure consultations are conducted efficiently while maintaining thoroughness and quality service.
