가을여행으로 경주 1박 여행을 다녀왔습니다.
날씨도 좋았고 어른이 되어서 처음 간 경주는 20세기 학생의 기억보다 훨씬 정돈되어 있고 풍성했습니다.
기와 건축물의 군집이 시각적으로 비일상적 감동이 있는데, 그것이 왕릉같은 문화재들과 어우러져 여행지의 기분을 느낄수 있었습니다.
작년의 국제행사 덕분인것도 있겠고, 또 황리단길이 젠트리피케이션의 터널을 지나고 있어서인지 독특함과 복사붙여넣기 같은 단조로움이 묘하게 뒤섞여 있습니다. 한 나라가 천년을 지속했다는것의 힘을 박물관에서 느꼈습니다. 경주국립박물관은 무조건 가보시는걸 추천합니다.
저는 1박을 했지만, 경주는 3박정도가 딱 좋을듯 합니다.
다음에 한번더 오고 싶은 여행이었습니다. 끝.
I took a one-night trip to Gyeongju.
The weather was beautiful, and visiting the city again as an adult, I found it far more polished and culturally rich than I remembered.
There was something visually extraordinary about the clusters of traditional tiled-roof buildings. Combined with cultural heritage sites such as the royal tombs, they created a strong sense of being somewhere truly removed from everyday life.
Perhaps some of this is thanks to the international event held there last year. At the same time, Hwangridan-gil seems to be passing through the tunnel of gentrification, creating a curious mixture of richness and a certain copy-and-paste sameness.
I stayed for just one night, but I think three nights would be just about perfect for Gyeongju.
It was the kind of trip that made me want to come back again.
