The sun may be beautiful, but for Maria, it can be dangerous.

Every time she goes outside, she dresses from head to toe to protect her skin. Long sleeves, gloves, a hat, and sun-protective clothing are not a choice—they are part of her daily life.

She doesn't wear all of this because she wants to hide.
She wears it so she can safely enjoy the world.

Behind every layer is a brave little girl living with Congenital Erythropoietic Porphyria (CEP), facing each day with courage.
