👏 Congratulations to Lebanese American University - LAU alumnus Zaven Kouyoumdjian on serving as Head Judge of the 2026 International Public Speaking Competition and being featured on the cover of the Summer 2026 issue of Dialogue magazine, published by the English-Speaking Union in London.

A graduate of the Lebanese American University with a BA in Mass Communication (1987), Zaven presided over the Grand Final of the prestigious competition at the Royal Institution in London, where speakers representing nearly 50 countries competed.

His feature on the cover of the Summer 2026 issue of Dialogue magazine recognizes his distinguished career in media and communication and celebrates his role as Head Judge of this year's International Public Speaking Competition.

His continued dedication to journalism, storytelling, and public speaking continues to inspire audiences around the world.

We are proud to celebrate these well-deserved international recognitions and wish him continued success.

👏 Congratulations to Lebanese American University - LAU alumna Ramona Khalife on being crowned the 2026 Lebanese Time Trial Champion! 🇱🇧🥇🚴

Successfully defending her national title, Ramona continues to inspire through her dedication and perseverance.

Her achievement is a testament to the hard work and determination that define champions, both on and off the road.

A graduate with Distinction in Interior Architecture from the Lebanese American University (Spring 2018), Ramona also serves as an Academic Assistant in LAU's Foundation Program, where she continues to contribute to the university community while excelling in her athletic career.

Her commitment to excellence, in both academia and sport, continues to inspire and make a meaningful impact.

This year, two exceptional alumni were recognized:

This year's lineup includes two films from Lebanon, "Do You Love Me" and "A Sad and Beautiful World," plus others from Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Iraq. A Q&A with director Cyril Aris follows the July 23 screening of "A Sad and Beautiful World." Reserve your tix in advance!

👏 Congratulations to Lebanese American University - LAU alumna Dr. Ghada El Khoury on being shortlisted for the University Alliance Awards among UK universities in the Regional Impact category!

Dr. El Khoury, who earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the Lebanese American University in 2007, has been recognized for her Kingston University Council-backed project supporting migrant and refugee communities. Through research, community engagement, and cross-sector collaboration, her work advances health, well-being, and equitable access to care.

Her dedication to improving lives through public health and community engagement continues to inspire and create meaningful impact. We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved international recognition and wish her continued success.
