The Cancer Unit of the Kandy General Hospital which was inaugurated 30 years ago is in need of dire expansions. Over the past 3 decade though the number of Cancer patients has increased in many folds the facilities has not increased in the same pace ; hence there is a congestion in the wards allocated for Cancer patients. In order to combat this rising problem a new " Cancer Unit" was propos

ed within the Kandy General Hospital Premises with a 5 storied building with all facilities including the latest technologies and facilities. The cost of the proposed project is LKR 1000 Million , and we are seeking your kind contribution by way of charitable donations.

Committee members of the Cancer Treatment unit met on 1st Oct and decided to purchase the following equipment at the request of the working Oncologist at the Kandy General Hospital ( cancer unit ) ie. 25 infusion pumps and a timulator. A Tender committee was formed chaired by Dr A.M.S.Beligaswtte. This was arrived at due to the Ministry Of Health taking over the balance of the construction.
