Kicking off the first step with strength and joy!

On July 16, 2025, we kicked off the first Diriya Skill Development Program a key step forward by the Supported Employment Unit.
This initial phase brought together the children of our first cohort, with a special focus on socialization skills, supported by the Department of Psychology.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Lasanthika for her insightful guidance, Ms. Nadeeka for her continued support, and all the dedicated volunteers who brought energy and compassion into the room.
Your commitment made this first step not just possible but meaningful.

Voice of Parents – A meaningful step forward with Diriya!

On July 3rd, 2025, we gathered with 15 parents from the Diriya Supported Employment Programme for an honest and heartfelt conversation about their parenting journeys, challenges, and hopes.

The session gave special attention to the lived experiences of parents of children with autism. It also included a brief awareness segment from the Diriya team, and an open discussion on upcoming plans and ideas.

A big thank you to Prof.Samanmali Sumanasena , Ms. Shiromi Masakorala, Mr. Primal Fernando , Mr. Peter D'Almeide , and all the parents who made this gathering truly inspiring.
