This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient and maternal care, supporting safe deliveries, and ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of patients, mothers, and newborns in hospital, health center and community health settings.
๐ฃ๐ต๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ (๐ฃ๐) will provide highquality clinical care and support under the supervision of a licensed doctor and or nursing services. Responsibilities include delivering services such as conducting patient assessments, obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting basic diagnostic tests, administering treatments, and assisting in emergency and routine medical procedures as required. The physician assistant should have at least 3 years of working experience and must be licensed by the LINPAA.

Deliver comprehensive nursing and midwifery care to patients and mothers before, during, and after delivery.
Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Support safe childbirth and manage normal deliveries according to MoH and WHO guidelines.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with the โ10 Rights of Drug Administration.โ
Provide family planning, antenatal, postnatal, and newborn care services.

Conduct regular ward and maternal rounds with doctors and clinical supervisors.
Identify and respond promptly to complications, referring cases that require advanced care.
Uphold infection prevention and control standards, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
Participate in public health initiatives, including immunization and maternal health campaigns.

Educate patients, mothers, and families on key areas such as hygiene, nutrition, breastfeeding, immunization, and reproductive health.
Provide counseling and psychosocial support for mothers, newborns, and families to enhance their overall well-being.
Conduct community outreach to raise awareness on maternal, newborn and child health issues including family planning.
Empower families with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and adopt health practices

Work collaboratively with professional colleagues (nurses, doctors, physician assistants, metal health clinician, social workers, administrative and support staff) to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Mentor and provide clinical guidance to student nurses, midwives and other categories of students to strengthen their practical skills and professional growth and development.
Up-hold ethical standards, maintain patient confidentiality, and adhere to institutional policies and codes of conduct
Contribute to data collection, documentation, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare service delivery.

Must have at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN), Midwifery (BSc), or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
Must have a current and ๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ and/or ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ฐ๐ข๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ from the ๐๐ข๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐จ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ฐ๐ข๐๐๐ซ๐ฒ (๐๐๐๐).
Diploma or BSc with a valid licensed issued by the LINPAA.

Minimum clinical experience of ๐โ๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ in a hospital, clinic, health center or other primary healthcare setting. Must be experienced in maternal and child health. Community health and counseling skills are added advantages.

The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical and excellent patient assessment skills. They must demonstrate effective communication, empathy, and teamwork abilities.
Thorough knowledge of the ministry the Ministry of Health (MoH) protocols, including partograph usage, postpartum management, emergency nursing care, oxygen administration, pre and post โoperative care, malaria protocols, diabetes care, under-five immunization, infection prevention and control, as well as counseling.
Candidates should up-hold high standards of professional nursing ethics and be able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism at all times. Proficiency in computer use, data tools, and particularly Microsoft office applications is also required.
The candidate must be able to support outpatient and inpatient care, provides health education to patients and communities, documents clinical findings accurately, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, patientcentered care.
A physician assistant must be able to exercise strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in fastpaced or resourceconstrained healthcare settings.
