🤰 Uterus Size During Pregnancy 🤰

Your uterus starts as small as a pear but grows amazingly to support your baby!

Here’s a quick guide:

🔹 Before Pregnancy
• Size: About a small pear

🔹 1st Trimester (1–3 months)
• Grows to the size of an orange.

🔹 2nd Trimester (4–6 months)
• Expands to a papaya.
• Baby bump becomes visible

🔹 3rd Trimester (7–9 months)
• Reaches the size of a watermelon
• Fully supports your growing baby

💡 Amazing Fact:
Your uterus can grow up to 500 times its original size during pregnancy!

❤️ Every stretch means your body is making space for your little miracle.

✨Episiotomy✨

An episiotomy is a small cut made during delivery to help the baby come out.

👉 During the procedure:
You’ll usually have anesthesia, so you may feel pressure—but not sharp pain

👉 After birth:
⚡ Soreness and stinging are common for a few days to weeks
🚶‍♀️ Sitting and walking may feel uncomfortable at first.

💡 Tips for relief:
✔️ Keep the area clean and dry
✔️ Use cold compress or ice packs
✔️ Sit on a soft cushion
✔️ Follow your doctor’s care instructions

👍 The good news: with proper care, most moms heal well.

Mastering pulse points strengthens your assessment skills and helps you detect circulation problems early in clinical practice.

Understanding central vs peripheral pulses builds critical thinking and prepares you for safe, evidence-based patient care.
