Over a month ago, we wrapped up our 6-week complementary food production training under the HELINA Project in partnership with CRS Liberia. Today, we’re sharing something more powerful than statistics- real stories from the women who participated. Their experiences inspire us to keep building solutions that move communities from learning to lasting impact.❤️

In May every year, the world celebrates motherhood, and today we want to shine the light on some amazing mothers navigating this journey with love, patience, and care.❤️

We know motherhood is not easy, especially in our communities, and we are grateful that LEO Nutrition gets to be part of the journey for many mothers and babies across Liberia.

Last week we organized an experiential learning excursion for our participants from West Point, New Kru Town, and Johnsonville as part of our ongoing Market Readiness and Entrepreneurship Training under the HELINA Project, with CRS Liberia. The participants visited the production facilities of our sister company, Jane's HealthLine Parfait, Granola, Fruit snacks, and Leo Nutrition to observe firsthand how real food enterprises operate - from production and quality control to branding, packaging, and customer readiness.

Beyond the classroom, this experience was designed to connect learning with real-world practice and expose these young women to what it truly takes to build sustainable businesses and compete in the marketplace. At Leo Nutrition, we believe empowerment goes beyond training - it is about building confidence, practical skills, and pathways toward long-term economic independence. Because when young mothers are empowered with knowledge and opportunity, stronger households and more resilient communities are built. 🌱

For many mothers, the biggest struggle in feeding their babies comes down to two things: affordability and keeping their child healthy. Princess Massaquoi from Lower Margibi County shares how expensive feeding options and products that required milk became difficult to sustain - and in some cases even caused stomach soreness for her baby.

In her story, she explains why she turned to LEO Nutrition’s baby cereal: a healthy, affordable local solution that saves money, needs no milk, and keeps her child strong and comfortable. Her experience is proof that local cereal works. Watch till the end and hear how one mother found relief in a feeding option designed with real Liberian families in mind.

When pathways are created, small businesses do not just survive - they rise.

To see LEO Nutrition’s Recharge Gari represented in France as part of gifts exchanged at a high-level partnership meeting with France’s Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Life is both humbling and inspiring.

We extend sincere appreciation to Minister Cornelia Wonkerleh Kruah for intentionally opening doors for young Liberian entrepreneurs and ensuring our products share space on global tables.

At Leo Nutrition, we believe nutrition is not only about food - it is about opportunity, dignity, and long-term resilience.

We are proud to be partnering with CRS Liberia under the HELINA Project to deliver Market Readiness and Entrepreneurship Training for 90 adolescent mothers across West Point, New Kru Town, and Johnsonville.

This initiative is equipping young women with practical skills in food entrepreneurship, product development, and business readiness - creating pathways toward sustainable livelihoods and stronger households.

Across these three communities in Montserrado County, we are not just teaching business. We are building confidence, independence, and economic opportunity.

Because when young mothers thrive, families and communities grow stronger.
