I know 😭
It feels so unfair sometimes.

You go through a stressful period, burnout, poor sleep, hormonal changes, emotional overload
and suddenly HPV decides this is its moment 🩠🙃

Because the virus often shows up (or sticks around) when your immune system is under pressure.

And this is exactly why HPV is usually about so much more than “just the virus”.

Stress, sleep, gut health, vaginal microbiome, nutrition, nervous system regulation
all of these can influence how well your body keeps HPV under control.

If you want to figure out what your own HPV triggers might be and what actually needs support in your case, comment READY and I’ll send you the link to book a free discovery call đŸ€

I came across this and it got me thinking.

Prevention matters, of course.

But most of the women I speak to are already past that point.

They’ve already had s*x.
They’ve already been exposed.
Some of them already have HPV.

And from what we know, the vaccine protects against the strains you haven’t been exposed to yet.

So naturally the question becomes —
what does that actually mean on an individual level?

How effective is it for you, specifically?

And how do you make that decision in a way that feels informed and right for your situation?

Because that part isn’t always talked about in detail.

I’m really curious how you see this.

Would you take this offer?
Or do you feel like something is missing from the conversation?

Has anyone ever actually talked to you about why HPV thrives in your body — yours, specifically?

What is actually going on inside your body that makes it a place where the virus sticks around?

Because a lot of the advice out there is about
removing the cells or boosting your immune system.

And I see so many women doing exactly that.

They remove the cells
and then feel frustrated when the HPV comes back.

Or they take immune-support supplements

and either nothing really changes,
or they do test negative —
but as soon as they stop, it doesn’t take long before it’s positive again.

And no one has really sat down with them and said,
“okay, what’s actually going on in your body here?”

Things like:
– your vaginal microbiome
– your gut health
– stress
– sleep
– diet

All of these play into it.

And if those pieces aren’t really looked at,
it’s harder to get lasting results.

Most women don’t actually see their lab results.

You go to your appointment,
they do a Pap smear (checking the cells),
sometimes an HPV test (checking the virus)

and then you’re told something like
“everything looks fine”
or
“it’s still there”

And that’s it.

But those two things —
what you’re told vs what’s actually on the report —
are not the same.

I had a client recently who told me her Doctor said everything was fine.

Which is great, I was thrilled for her đŸ€

But I still asked her to get a copy so we could actually look at it properly.

And once we had it, we could see:

– was it a Pap smear or an HPV test (or both)? 🔍
– which HPV strains were actually tested?
– does it actually say “HPV detected” or “not detected”?

Just seeing it written there, clearly, makes a difference.

Because if you’re currently HPV positive,
you want to know exactly what you’re dealing with.

And if things improve later,
you want to be able to compare it properly.

Otherwise, you’re just relying on memory
or a quick explanation in an appointment.

So if you’ve never asked for your results before —
it’s really worth doing.

It just makes things feel a lot more clear ✹

Today I spoke to another woman who had been diagnosed with several strains of HPV — despite having had the vaccine at a very young age.

This is something I see quite often in practice.

The HPV vaccine can be very helpful and is designed to protect against the most common high-risk strains associated with cervical cancer. 🧬

However, it does not cover all HPV types — and there are over 100 different strains.

This means it is still possible to be diagnosed with HPV even if you have been vaccinated.

It’s simply something that is often not explained clearly.

If you find HPV results, strain types, or terminology confusing, you’re not alone — it can be difficult to understand what everything actually means. đŸ€

Most women in their early 40s are told their symptoms are just stress

or a “normal part of aging.”

But what I see in practice is something very different.

Your hormones are shifting — and this shift affects far more than just your cycle.

It impacts:

‱ your brain and mental clarity
‱ your nervous system
‱ your immune response
‱ your microbiome
‱ your energy and recovery

Which is why symptoms often feel confusing, inconsistent, and unpredictable.

You’re not imagining it — your body is changing how it functions.

✹ This is exactly why I’ve put together a guide to help you understand what’s happening in Perimenopause and how to support your body through this phase.
