Saturdays are for... A Day with Mary! 💃🏾

All women in my Parish were invited to spend a day with our Mother Mary — Confession, Talk, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and Holy Mass. Here are some highlights from the Talk: "IMITATING THE VIRTUE OF HUMILITY IN THE VIRGIN MARY" by Fr. Richard Chukwunyere:

* Humility is seeing ourselves as equal in the eyes of God, regardless of status, wealth, education, or appearance
* It’s not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less
* Pride, the opposite of humility, is the chief of all sins
* The world sees humility as weakness, but it’s actually strength
* The more you humble yourself, the more you find favour with God and men
* Our Mother Mary is the epitome of humility — full of grace because of her courageous surrender
* The greatest example of humility is Jesus

We were exhorted to live a life of service to God even in our homes: prayer, serve with love, avoid arrogance/pride, etc.

A day well spent!
