Religion educators from schools across Malta and Gozo carry a beautiful and important vocation: nurturing the values, the character, and the inner lives of the young people in their care. Yet before we can pour into others, we must first tend to ourselves. This was the heart of our recent workshop: beginning with the educators themselves, their emotional wellbeing, their resilience, and their own relationship with who they are and what they carry.
From that foundation, we explored how the life skills within the Happy LifeToolkit can support their students to develop empathy, critical thinking, emotional literacy, and the resilience to make choices that truly serve them. Skills that do not compete with values but deepen them.
We were delighted to be invited for a second consecutive year by Ms Antoinette Laferla - Education Officer-Religious Education whose vision in bringing together a different cohort of educators each year reflects a deep commitment to those who serve our schools. The strong participation in the room was a testament to that vision, and to the genuine dedication of every educator present.
We are grateful for this growing collaboration and look forward to continuing to strengthen this partnership, so that together we may invest in the life skills of the next generation.
Because when we invest in educators, we invest in every child they will ever touch.
