Hi parents! It's Prof. P and I'm here to help you protect your child’s heart!

Healthy hearts start with everyday habits. You can help by:
1. Offering a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein-rich foods.
2. Swap box juice and making water the go-to drink most of the time.
3. Keeping nourishing snacks easy to reach and enjoy instead of chips, gummy bears or milk chocolate bars.
4. Encouraging playing outdoors, sports and movement every day. Actively swap screen time for time outside.
5. Making sleep a priority, growing bodies and brains need it!

And most importantly, lead by example. Kids learn so much from what they see us do. Good luck parents!

Hi kids! It's Prof. P! Do you know what a heart is?

Your heart is a little muscle inside your chest that works like a pump. It keeps your blood moving around your body, delivering oxygen and nutrients your body needs to play, learn, grow, and have fun!

And guess what? Your heart keeps working day and night, even while you sleep!

Monday was Prof. P's day! And to celebrate, he's sharing a simple pineapple sorbet you can make with a few ingredients.

Share the fun! Involve your kids in this activity: let them serve the sorbet in colorful bowls or cones, or top with passion fruit, fresh berries, shredded coconut, or a few mint leaves for extra fun.

Tip: If you don't have frozen pineapple, freeze fresh pineapple chunks for at least 4 hours before making the sorbet.

For many of us, chocolate was one of our very first sweet treats we have been introduced to. It might even have been love at first bite! While chocolate can absolutely be part of a balanced diet, we as parents raising nutritionally aware kids should understand its different types:

White chocolate contains zero cocoa solids and is typically the highest in sugar, making it more of a sugary confection than a chocolate rich in cocoa.

Milk chocolate contains cocoa but also has added milk and sugar, making it sweeter. It's a popular choice among children.

Dark chocolate contains a higher percentage of cocoa and provides beneficial plant compounds called flavonoids. It is generally less sugar than milk chocolate, sometimes with a slightly bitter taste that kids often shun away...

Regardless of its type, chocolate should remain an occasional treat. Children are naturally full of energy and do not need frequent added sugars in their diet, especially if they come from white or milk chocolate. Keep it for special moments where you share a piece of chocolate with your little ones, creating a sweet memory of togetherness.

Did you have your glass of milk today?
A glass of milk is an easy way to provide essential nutrients such as calcium, protein and vitamin D, all needed to support strong bones, healthy teeth, and overall growth.
Switch up the taste with a bit of honey or vanilla essence.

Note: Exact milk needs vary by age, dietary pattern, and health conditions. Most children benefit from 2–3 servings of dairy daily as part of a balanced diet. Dairy servings can also come from yogurt and cheese.

Childhood is a critical time for building both nutrition knowledge and lifelong eating habits. The messages children receive about food today can influence their health and wellbeing for years to come.

We care deeply about providing accurate, practical guidance, to help children grow, thrive, and develop a positive relationship with food. We're passionate about helping parents cut through the noise and feel confident in nourishing their children.

With the help of Prof. P and his friends, let's empower our children to grow, thrive, and enjoy food as part of a full and healthy life! 💚

Do you love honey? Thank the bees! 🐝

These tiny workers collect nectar from flowers to create the sweet honey we enjoy.
Did you know that honey can taste different depending on the flowers the bees visit? 🌸🌻
