When it came to conspiracy theories back then, I was always the one my classmates came to hear those stories from. 😂

I could give you 7 if you put me on the spot, and 25 if you gave me the whole weekend to prepare.

The first one was that Michael Jackson faked his death and Tupac was still alive, hiding somewhere in Cuba.

Another one was that Lady Gaga was secretly a man.

I also believed Beyoncé was a clone, that she and Jay Z were the leaders of the Illuminati, and Rihanna was their Head of Soul Acquisition. In my mind, she wasn't dropping albums. She was dropping contracts.

I also used to believe Disney controlled its child stars and had one giant handbook titled How to Manufacture Perfect Teenagers. Then I also believed every Hollywood star had sold their soul to the devil.

And if you see how I used to passionately narrate that Eminem worked for the US government... I'd be speaking with so much confidence, like I was in the CIA. I believed he rapped about controversial topics because he was secretly helping the government distract the public.

When Christopher Nolan released The Dark Knight, I was convinced it wasn't just a movie. To me, it was a prophecy of how the Illuminati would eventually take over the world. Every Joker speech sounded like classified information.

I also believed Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs was scripted. I genuinely thought it was all staged for ratings. Little did I know Kanye West was actually just... Kanye West.

I consumed so much BuzzFeed content that year my brain nearly froze. 😭
