Dear Friends and Family,
We are now just about a week away from our wedding week at Le Blanc, and we are very excited to see all of you so soon! Please take note of some important reminders as you begin preparing and packing for the week.
It goes without saying that the weather will be very hot and humid in Cancun. Temperatures average around 90F (32C) for the month of July. While we do advise that you keep your wardrobe light, please keep in mind that you will need to bring outfits for the more formal occasions as well. The dinner dress code at most of the restaurants on site does not allow flip-flops, shorts, or jeans. So for the gentlemen, be sure to bring at least a few pairs of khakis, dress pants, dress shirts and polos. For the ladies, we advise you to bring a few dresses and skirts to match the dress code of the restaurants.
We have several events planned throughout the week for which you will need to have formal wear as well. You will find out more about what we have planned once you arrive at the resort. The dress code for the wedding will be formal. We advise dress pants, dress shirts, and ties for men (jackets optional), and dresses for the ladies.
Please keep in mind that if you plan to travel with carry-on luggage only, you will not be able to bring any liquids in containers larger than 3.4oz (100mL), and all liquid containers must fit in a regular size Ziploc bag. We suggest checking your airline’s baggage policies for size and weight restrictions as well to avoid surprises at the airport. Quality bath amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner) will be provided by Le Blanc, so you do not need to bring these. If you do plan to check your luggage, we recommend you bring plenty of sunscreen, as it will be more expensive to purchase at the resort.
You will not need to bring any Mexican Pesos with you since the US dollar is universally accepted in Cancun. Although drinks and many services are included, tips are very much appreciated by the hotel staff. Unfortunately, Canadian cash is not accepted. For Canadian travelers, we recommend you exchange to US dollars before departure. Purchases at the resort and spa can also be made through Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.
When you arrive in Cancun, you will have the option of getting to the resort either by taxi, shuttle, or private transfer. Taxis tend to be more expensive, so we recommend the shuttle or private transfer. You can book this transfer before you depart or contact a representative with a clipboard outside the terminal. If you would like to book the shuttle ahead of time, we recommend using USA Transfers, Inc. http://www.usa-transfers.com/. You can find the rates on their website and use the "contact us" option to book your travel. We have listed their rates below for your reference.
Upon checking in at Le Blanc, you will receive a welcome packet containing important information about our planned activities during the week, information about the resort, your resort credit, and more. If you do not receive an envelope, please make sure to ask for one at the check-in desk.
In the meantime, you can download the Le Blanc App by visiting the website LeBlancApp.com on your mobile phone or tablet (If you try to download the app directly from the app store it will not work). You can use the app to see restaurant menus, make reservations, learn about resort credit, check out the spa menu, and much more.
Please reach out to us directly if you have any questions in the meantime. We can’t wait to see you all!
Thanks
Ana and Chase
