Most "everyday stress", the not too significant, almost, or completely subconscious fears and anxiety remain in the energy field around the lower legs. (This is the reason why even a halfway decent foot massage makes us "feel better" even if there wasn't and isn't any "actual" problem in our feet and legs.)
