๐Ÿ‘‰ Setting BOUNDARIES can be tricky, especially if we grew up in an environment where they weren't respected. Recognizing when we feel small or neglected becomes a challenge when we've been desensitized to these experiences. ๐Ÿšง๐Ÿ”„

REPETITIVE patterns in our lives start feeling normal, even when they're not good for us. As KIDS, if saying 'no' wasn't encouraged, navigating adulthood can be tough. Similarly, if we NEVER learned to take up space, expressing ourselves in a crowded room might feel overwhelming. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๐Ÿคท

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป If your COMPASSION does not include yourself, it is INCOMPLETE. To be YOURSELF in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT.

I found in my RESEARCH that the biggest reason people aren't more SELF-COMPASSIONATE is that they are afraid they'll become self-indulgent.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Sometimes itโ€™s HARD to ACCEPT who we are. We STRUGGLE with FEELING COMFORTABLE in our own skin. Weโ€™re hard on ourselves and canโ€™t help but see all the flaws. Whatโ€™s NEEDED is COMPASSION โ€” not only for others, but OURSELVES.

Self-compassion is simply giving the SAME KINDNESS to OURSELVES that we would give to others. Remember to show yourself some self-compassion when times are tough.
