Not every s***m problem starts with the reproductive system. 🧬

31-year-old male, after ~3 months:
• Morphology: 1% → 3%
• Progressive motility: 50% → 60%

What interested me wasn’t only the numbers.over the years, I’ve seen something repeatedly:

Same semen findings
≠ same underlying issue

Some cases may involve immune health. some may involve metabolism. some may involve stress, sleep, inflammation, gut health… and more.
The body works as an ecosystem.which is why I rarely believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

PCOS is no longer being viewed as “just an ovarian condition.”

The shift from PCOS to PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) reflects a deeper understanding of women’s health ,one that recognizes the connection between hormones, metabolism, inflammation, fertility, and long-term wellbeing.

Many women are navigating far more than irregular periods or fertility challenges alone.

As reproductive medicine evolves, so does the importance of a more holistic, integrative, and patient-centered approach to care. ❤️

Listening. Learning. Observing.

What strikes me most at ASPIRE is how reproductive medicine is evolving beyond laboratory techniques alone.
More conversations are now focusing on:
• patient journeys
• microbiome
• implantation environment
• psychosocial support
• individualized care
• and long-term reproductive outcomes

The future of fertility care may not be about one single approach.
It may be about better integration, better understanding, and better support for increasingly complex patients.
Grateful to be here learning from different perspectives across the Asia-Pacific reproductive medicine community.

5 failed transfers.
The 6th worked.

But not the best cycle.

This case reminded me:

Implantation is not one number.
It’s system readiness.

Curious how others approach cases
where everything “looks right”… but still fails.

No matter what, preparing your body before IVF can make a difference 🤍
Supporting ovarian function and creating a better uterine environment may help your body respond more smoothly.
But everyone is different ,it’s not about doing more, it’s about doing what’s right for you.
If you’re not sure where to start, it might help to first understand your body better before the next step 🌿

Busy week back in China.

Connected with friends in pharma R&D and healthcare management. Also returned to my alma mater for discussions with the gynecology & endocrinology teams on integrative approaches to recurrent IVF failure and DOR.

13 years in clinical practice. Always learning, always reflecting. Hoping to bring new insights back into daily care.

Sometimes the pressure to “just keep going” can feel overwhelming.

But in fertility care, moving forward immediately isn’t always the best strategy.

Taking one cycle to pause can:
– help reset hormones
– allow time to review your plan
– improve your chances in the next cycle

A thoughtful pause isn’t giving up ,it’s protecting your long-term outcome.

Save this for the days when slowing down feels wrong 🤍

After IVF setbacks, many patients wonder if they should seek another medical opinion.

In most cases, one failed cycle is not unusual.
But certain patterns may signal that a fresh evaluation could be helpful.

A second opinion is not about distrust.
It is about understanding your options and making informed decisions for the next step.

Sometimes, a different perspective can reveal new investigations, adjustments, or strategies that may improve the path forward.

A beautiful embryo is only part of the equation.

Implantation is a synchronized biological event —
not a single-variable outcome.

When it fails, the question isn’t “Was the embryo good?”
It’s “Was everything aligned?”
