Before Aromatherapy, there were aromatic plants. 🌿

Long before the word aromatherapy existed, people were already using flowers, herbs, resins and aromatic oils in healing, rituals, beauty and perfume.

Then came Aromathérapie.

In 1937, René-Maurice Gattefossé helped shape the modern concept of therapeutic essential oil use.

In 1961, Marguerite Maury took the idea a step further with Individual Prescription — exploring blends according to the individual.

And today?

We continue that journey through Personalised Scent.

From aromatic plants → Aromathérapie → Individual Prescription → Personalised Scent.

Different decades.

Did they have aromatherapy in the 1960s? 🌿

Yes.

The 1960s were an important period in the development of modern aromatherapy.

In 1961, French aromatherapy pioneer Marguerite Maury published Le Capital “Jeunesse”. She advocated Individual Prescription — creating essential oil blends according to each person’s individual needs.

Decades later, the idea still resonates.
