🎄 Festive Season Tips for Dialysis Patients 🎄

The holiday season is here — with all the joy, food, and celebrations! But for our dialysis warriors, it's important to enjoy the festivities safely.

Here are some friendly reminders to stay healthy this Christmas:

✨ Watch your potassium!
Avoid high-potassium foods like bananas, durians,oranges, potatoes, and certain festive fruits. Choose safer options like apples, guava, and rice-based snacks.

💧 Keep fluids in check.
Too much water or festive drinks can cause swelling and breathlessness. Sip, don’t gulp!

🥘 Go easy on salty & processed foods.
They make you thirstier and can lead to fluid overload. Say no to salty snacks and processed meats.

📅 Don’t skip your dialysis sessions.
Celebrations can wait — your health can’t. Keep your appointments.

💬 Ask your nurses for guidance.
A quick chat before big meals can make a big difference. We’re here for you !

Meet Johnical, one of the most amazing patient who has been on dialysis for over a decade. Living with diabetes isn’t easy, but he shows up for treatment with a smile, never complains, and faces life head-on. His journey reminds us that diabetes & dialysis may be a lifelong condition, but it doesn’t have to define your life.

Theme : Movie characters

On the seventeenth night of gentle May,
We gathered with smiles to mark the day.
Pusat jantung Sarawak welcomed us with grace and cheer,
Together with RLDC, we felt so near.

A dinner shared, a moment bright,
To honor nurses in soft evening light.
Not just for patients, our care runs deep
For one another, the bonds we keep.

We laughed, we dined, we felt such pride,
This night reminded us how deeply
we are connected, supported, and valued.
We are truly grateful for the beautiful memories shared.
