Okay… lepas tu nak buat dekat mana?

Nak cari pusat.

Kalau baru pertama kali melalui semua ni, memang banyak benda nak kena fikir.

Today, we celebrate more than just independence. We celebrate the people, communities and shared spirit that make Malaysia what it is.

At Degup, we believe that building a better Malaysia also means making sure everyone has access to the care and support they need including dialysis patients and their families.

Over the past few months, we’ve had the privilege of meeting patients, communities, dialysis centres and many people working to make healthcare better. Every conversation has reminded us why this work matters.

Here’s to a Malaysia that is more caring, inclusive and accessible for everyone.

Another patient, another match.

We’re happy to share that Degup has successfully completed our second patient match to a dialysis centre!

Another dialysis patient has been connected with a suitable centre, and the process went smoothly from matching to confirmation.

For us, every successful match is more than just a milestone. It’s another patient who now has one less thing to worry about when planning their dialysis care.

We’re still early in this journey, but every patient we help strengthens our belief that finding suitable dialysis options can be made simpler, more accessible and more patient-friendly.

2 patients matched. And we’re just getting started.

A meaningful conversation with Arissa Jemaima Ikram , Country Lead, Corporate Social Responsibility at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Founder & Executive Director of Doctors on Ground (DnG).

We had the opportunity to learn more about the work DnG is doing on the ground, from providing healthcare support to underserved communities to reaching patients who may otherwise have limited access to care.

We also shared more about Degup, our work with dialysis patients, and the challenges we’ve been hearing directly from the community, especially among B40 patients.

It was a great discussion around where our focus areas meet, how we can learn from each other, and how we can potentially work together to create more impact in the communities we serve.

Meaningful conversations are often the starting point of meaningful change.

We had the privilege of meeting with Datin Nazrin Aneeza binti Nazaruddin, Trustee of MyKasih, who is also actively involved in the Lembah Subang community.

The discussion focused on how Degup works, the realities of life for dialysis patients particularly those from the B40 community and the challenges they face in accessing care and support. We also explored ways to strengthen community engagement and build more collaborative solutions that can better serve patients and their families.

Thank you, Datin Nazrin, for taking the time to listen, share your insights, and explore how community-driven initiatives can create a greater impact for dialysis patients across Malaysia.

A small milestone, but a meaningful one. ❤️

On the 24th of July, Degup successfully matched our first dialysis patient to a dialysis centre in Klang.

He was travelling from Sabah and needed a treatment slot while away from home. We helped coordinate and connect him with a suitable dialysis centre, and his treatment was completed smoothly.

Moments like this remind us why Degup exists to make dialysis more accessible, especially when patients need care away from their usual centre.

Thank you to everyone who trusted us with this journey, and to the dialysis centre that worked with us to make it happen.

On 29 July, Degup had the privilege of meeting with representatives from Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) for our second conversation.

We gained valuable insight into KKM’s direction and priorities, while sharing ideas on how Degup can align and contribute meaningfully.

For us, it’s not just about building solutions it’s about building the right solutions, grounded in real needs and designed for the betterment of our nation.

We’re grateful for the continued dialogue and excited for what’s ahead!

Beyond dialysis, there’s life. There’s laughter. There’s community.

Together with Dialysis Patient Group Malaysia, we organised a picnic to bring dialysis patients together to connect, mingle, share experiences and simply enjoy the day.

For Degup, it was also a chance to listen closely to their stories and better understand the challenges they face in their dialysis journey.

We came to learn, but we left with new connections, meaningful conversations and plenty of smiles.

Because building better care starts with listening to the people we’re building it for.
