The Strength of Small Heroes: A Team Effort 🏥✨

A month ago, a simple "knock on the forehead" seemed like a typical childhood tumble. But in pediatrics, we know that sometimes the smallest bumps can hide the biggest challenges.
This brave 6-year-old warrior ended up facing a subdural hemorrhage, a journey that led him from the ER to the operating table for a craniotomy and burr hole surgery.

The Power of Collaboration

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is the seamless teamwork between specialties. Working alongside our neurosurgery team to manage his recovery was a masterclass in precision and care. While the surgeons did the heavy lifting in the OR, my role was to navigate his post-operative recovery, but ensuring his vitals, comfort, and spirit were all heading in the right direction.

The Best Kind of Goodbye

There is no better feeling than seeing a child who has been through so much walk out of those hospital doors. After just 6 days of post-op care, he was discharged well, back to being a kid again.

A quick reminder for parents: Always keep an eye on those head bumps! Persistent lethargy, vomiting, or changes in behavior after a fall are always worth a check-up.

So thankful for the team, the family’s trust, and the incredible resilience of my little patients. Moments like these are exactly why I became a pediatrician. ❤️🩺

一个月前，一次看似平常的“额头磕碰”，谁也没想到会演变成一场严峻的考验。在儿科领域，我们深知有时候再小的撞击也可能隐藏着巨大的风险。
这位勇敢的 6 岁小战士因为硬膜下出血（Subdural Haemorrhage) ，经历了一场必须由神经外科医生进行的开颅及钻孔手术（Craniotomy and Burr Hole）。

跨专科协作的力量

在我的职业生涯中，最令人欣慰的事莫过于不同专科之间的无缝合作。这次与神经外科团队紧密配合，共同管理他的术后康复过程，是一次专业与关怀的深度结合。外科医生在手术台上完成了最艰巨的任务，而我的职责则是守护他的术后观察期——确保他的体征平稳、身体舒适，并陪伴他度过心理的恢复期。

最美好的告别

没有什么比看到经历过大手术的孩子康复出院更令人振奋了。经过 6 天的悉心照护，他康复良好，顺利出院，重新回到了属于他的快乐童年。

给家长们的小提醒：
请务必留意孩子头部的撞击伤！如果在摔伤后出现持续性精神萎靡、呕吐或行为改变，请务必及时就医检查。
由衷感谢医疗团队的配合、家长的信任，以及小病患那令人惊叹的韧性。正是这样的时刻，让我更加坚信成为一名儿科医生的意义。❤️🩺

We need to notify infectious disease( confirmed or suspected) case to authority within a specific time frame. Any delay is a breach of law. Can be penalised.
Today I was summoned to a public health officer to explain a delay in notify a hfmd case 2 yrs ago.
Parents if you got a call from public health officer asking some info regarding your child(if your kid being diagnosed of certain infectious disease) please don't panicked. They got your number because we notify.

除了在诊所照顾孩子, 当市场部需要拍视频、拍照、出席活动或内容审核时，我也会到位支持。因为好的内容，和好的医疗照护一样，都离不开正确的细节。

Children aren’t the only ones I take care of. When Marketing calls for a video, photo shoot, events or content check, I am there to support. Because good content (and good care) both need the right details.
