He came to us with Bell’s palsy, experiencing weakness and difficulty voluntarily moving one side of his face. He couldn’t even whistle.

After his rehabilitation journey with us, he has regained full control of his facial movements and can finally whistle again! 🙌💚

From struggling with simple facial movements to confidently using them again, this is what progress looks like.

We’re proud to have been part of his recovery journey. 💪

他来到 Limber Care 时，被贝尔氏麻痹（Bell’s Palsy）困扰，半边脸部无力，也无法主动控制脸部动作，甚至连吹口哨都做不到。

经过一段时间的康复治疗后，他终于恢复了完整的脸部动作控制，也终于可以再次吹口哨了！🙌💚

从连简单的脸部动作都难以完成，到现在能够自如地控制脸部 这就是康复过程中最令人开心的进步。

Early awareness can make a difference. By teaching children what to look out for and encouraging early screening, we hope to help them take better care of their spinal health from a young age.

Our scoliosis client came to us wanting to better understand and manage their spinal curve.

After just two physiotherapy sessions, they are now able to recognise their curve, actively self-correct their posture, and gain better control of their scoliosis in daily activities.

Recovery isn’t just about reducing pain—it’s about learning how to move with confidence. 💚

❄️ 冰浴（Ice Bath）近几年越来越受运动员欢迎，但很多人对它的作用其实存在误解。

很多人以为冰浴可以「加速身体修复」，但事实上，它主要帮助你感觉恢复得更快，并不代表组织真的愈合得更快。

🧠 为什么冰浴会让你觉得比较舒服？

当身体接触冷水时，血管会暂时收缩，神经传导速度也会减慢，因此能够：
✅ 减轻疼痛
✅ 减少肿胀
✅ 降低运动后的肌肉酸痛（DOMS）

这也是为什么很多运动员在冰浴后，会觉得身体比较轻松、精神比较好，好像恢复得很快。

但「感觉比较好」≠「组织修复得比较快」。

真正的组织修复，仍然需要身体自然的愈合过程，包括：
🏋️‍♂️ 适当的训练负荷
😴 足够的睡眠
🥗 良好的营养
⏳ 以及时间

事实上，如果每次重量训练后都进行冰浴，还可能降低身体正常的适应反应，影响肌肉增长及力量提升。

所以，冰浴应该被视为一种恢复工具（Recovery Tool），而不是加速愈合的捷径（Healing Shortcut）。

✅ 适合什么时候使用？
• 连续比赛或锦标赛期间
• 高强度训练后肌肉酸痛明显
• 急性受伤伴随肿胀时（短期使用）

❌ 不建议每次训练后都使用，尤其是：
• 重量训练后
• 复健期间需要促进肌肉力量恢复时
• 目标是增肌或提升力量表现的人

💡 记住：

❄️ 冰浴 = 让你感觉恢复得更快
🩹 冰浴 ≠ 让身体愈合得更快

恢复不是盲目跟风，而是根据目标，选择正确的方法，在正确的时间使用。

❄️ Ice baths are popular among athletes, but they’re often misunderstood.

Many people think ice baths speed up healing. In reality, they mainly help you feel better, not necessarily heal faster.

🧠 Here’s why:

Cold exposure causes blood vessels to narrow and slows down nerve conduction. This helps reduce pain, limit swelling, and decrease the soreness you feel after intense exercise. That’s why many athletes feel “fresh” after an ice bath.

✅ Less pain
✅ Less swelling
✅ Less soreness
✅ Better perceived recovery

But feeling better DOESN’T always mean the tissues have healed faster.

Healing still depends on your body’s natural repair process, proper loading, sleep, nutrition, and time. In fact, using ice baths too frequently may reduce some of the inflammation signals that are important for muscle growth and adaptation.

That’s why ice baths are best used as a recovery tool, NOT a HEALING shortcut.

✔️ Great for tournaments and back-to-back training sessions.
✔️ Useful when soreness is affecting performance.
❌ Not something you need after every workout.

Remember:

❄️ Ice bath = Feel better faster.
🩹 Ice bath ≠ Heal faster.

Recovery isn’t about doing everything.
It’s about doing the right things at the right time.

Client Testimony 💬

Client came in with pain on the outside of the knee and thigh whenever he ran long distances. It got to a point where it was affecting his training and difficulties to complete the goal of a 42km marathon.

After a few physiotherapy sessions, the pain has improved significantly, and he is now gradually returning to his long runs pain-free.

One step closer to the finish line. 🏃‍♂️💚

每当进行长距离跑步时，膝盖外侧和大腿外侧都会感到疼痛。

疼痛逐渐影响了的训练，甚至让开始怀疑自己是否能够完成 42 公里马拉松的目标。

经过几次物理治疗后，疼痛明显改善，现在已经能够逐步恢复长距离跑步，而且跑步时不再受疼痛困扰。
