👁️ "I thought it would just go away..."
A patient recently came to our clinic after noticing new floaters in their vision for just 2 days.
During a dilated eye examination, we found the cause: a retinal tear.
If left untreated, fluid can seep behind the tear, causing a retinal detachment—which can lead to permanent blindness.
Because they acted quickly, we performed an immediate barricade laser treatment in the clinic. The laser acts like a "seal" around the tear, securing the retina and preventing a vision-threatening detachment.
